We rarely if ever have to stay there as we drop off load and go as you can imagine we don't like to let airplanes stay in those types of places. There are a few places that we fly to or passengers we carry that are a little more sensitive than others and you will be told about them in training."

Simple statement instead of telling every person who has asked about Omni flying for the last few years that, "we cant tell you that, it's classified." How the hell is someone supposed to make a decision about applying there based on that info? Some people might not want that kind of flying and you save them the time of applying and Omni the time of interviewing them only to find out that don't want that kind of job.
As a former Marine, I think most military members appreciate the importance of OpSec. We also understand how easy it is to gather a little bit from here, and a little bit from there, to be able to paint a fairly clear picture which can compromise an operation.

Anyone who is looking into a company to fly for and is doing their due dilgence, have researched on Facebook and this forum. They have probably run across this thread and other similar threads which has already given quite a bit of info. They should be able to gather enough info to make a determination of whether or not that type of job is for them. It can probably be put to rest at this point.

I don’t have a problem with that at all, and it’s been said almost exactly that way dozens of times throughout the threads. I don’t think anybody has a problem with saying we fly a high number of DoD flights. We go where they tell us to.
That’s not what I’m saying though; there were people posting the various cities we frequent often, our call signs, and how-to’s for finding and tracking the flights. That I had a problem with. If some are misinterpreting that, well... that’s their problem.

In general you’re gone the 16. You may get the first short call day at home and be given your gateway flight for the next morning. The last day is your flight home. Somewhere in the middle will come a 30 or longer if needed. Should be tons of posts about the schedules already if you scroll back before the “where we go” crap started. Occasionally the trips are in two big chunks instead of one non stop trip.

You think they’re the only ones?

So what? Does that mean it’s okay to explain to everybody how to go about finding them?

Some of the best street and military cops I ever knew started as mall security while still in school. They certainly learned how to interact with people much more than the guy guarding an empty building. The one thing I learned in life is that everybody is important; from the guy digging ditches along the road, to the janitor in the high school, to the highest ranking General..... yes, the mall security guard fits in there somewhere too. Even Paul Blart... who as I recall ended up the hero.

So I didn’t see one with a CMB call sign flying into BWI last week? I forget if was Atlas or Omni, but it disproves what you said.

Perfectly stated. Unfortunately, some people are just way too cool to understand that.

Sincerely,

Captain Mall Cop

Listen, all ye who come forth on this long-dragging-on forum thread...Omni Air serves many customers who don't advertise, don't market and don't sell tickets to the general public. Many air carriers in other countries and in ours don't discuss or divulge destinations their carrier may serve in the interest of business, competitiveness or security of their customers AND crewmembers.

Simply put, the Omni crews who post on this forum to simply opine or to assist others in gaining employment there should NOT be hassled, cajoled or harassed into divulging sensitive information that they've been trained or counseled NOT to share with anyone that isn't employed by their company.

So, stop teasing/goading and quit trying to find out sensitive information from these posters. If you want to work at Omni and have an interview there, these posters will certainly help you.
