If as management claims they want to make this place a true destination airline, do you guys think that the new contract is going to be able to make some meaningful gains or is it just going to be a kick in the shorts like K4?

ATSG's latest earnings call indicated Omni's fleet count would reduce by one before the end of the year and based on this thread it sounds like management is asking for concessions. Read into that as much as you want (and consider current industry trends as part of that "reading").

Well... That certainly has the potential to be extremely disappointing. Is the airplane you're talking about that ugly duckling one which required additional training?

No idea which one. Just showed a reduction of one in the ATSG fleet matrix. I'm not at Omni but am in the same segment of the industry. Perhaps an Omni guy might know the answer?

How long are guys waiting these days between applying and getting the call or the TBNT?

Additionally, is it fairly easy to bid split trips if you need different days off than the month before? When I worked for a 135 in the past, we were rigidly locked into the first or second half of the month for the whole year. Made it tough to do different events. I appreciate the responses!

Yep it is. Coming into a split you'll just be out for 3 weeks.

Anyone care to share what are 'competitive' minimums for getting hired at Omni currently? Seems to be a moving target with the pilot shortage situation being what it is. Thanks much.

Seems to be around three weeks. I heard the open the hiring window and re-fill the pool so YMMV.
