Simple math: The junior CA now is 77%. There's no reason to think it would be any different after a displacement.
With a 19% reduction on this bid this puts him/her at 9100 or a 2014 hire.
And it still may be NYC. With the cutback in flying commuting to RES is an even more onerous existence than ever. Faced with the reality of having to commute in to sit long call I think NYC will remain the junior base.

Think the union is going to be extra thorough going over this one.
Wonder just how much $$ per day the company will save after conversion day? I’m sorry to say it, but the bigger push might be to get the AE done with time to get the F notices out per the contact time minimums pre Oct 1, and the push to rush a conversion date may be secondary on the timeline.
Although both are probably preferred.
Guess we’ll know soon enough. In the fullness of time, and all that.

This all makes sense. Still, it’s a huge bid, everyone will be impacted. I don’t know what the company would be on the hook for if there was a cascading series of misawards that went through and were successfully arbitrated after the fact.

The only thing that will stop this from coming out prior to June 2 will be if they can’t reproduce the same result in dbms that they get from the manpower planning software. They will use the software and have the results they want by the end of tomorrow or Wednesday. Throw some time for everyone to look at it, and for them to try to release training dates and I think Friday or Monday. And if they have problems everyone will be working through the weekend to get it done by the 2nd. There is a lot of money at stake.

You weren’t with me in the crashpad in NYC with the money hungry delta captains were you then, huh?
Trust me, when the going gets tough there’ll be pilots from 1999 who’ll put aside QOL and their families to spend the night in a crashpad with me in NYC, just so they can wear the four bars and pull that CA paycheck.

Trust me, there’ll always be pilots here who’ll put aside QOL and their families to spend the night in a crashpad with me in NYC, just so they can wear the four bars and pull that CA paycheck.
