It’s almost like we are about to start talking scope, and now another thing got tossed into the mix to manage. What a coicindence...

The flow back at this point is probably not going to be used by any current DL pilot....if flow back is ever used, it would be by those who are about to flow up.

From what I could tell, 9E pilots were not interested in DL pilots flowing down during covid when the compass flow down language appeared to possibly still be in play.

And the 35 large RJs will not be operated by DL mainline pilots at mainline rates, nor will these RJs expand the DL seniority list by 35 x about 10 pilots a piece.

What am I missing?
Correct. 9E didn’t want a flow down last year. Now they’ll get a flow up, with a flow down provision. Guess who that affects? Is the number 500 guy at DL going to flow down to 9E? No. The 9E pilot who flows here will flow back to 9E if the music stops again.

This whole thing is absurd. Deltas gonna do what delta wants to do, and ALPA is gonna bark about it all day long. Then ultimately an arbitrator is going to side with the company. Orrrr they side with us, and we still get nothing because it’s not economically feasible to pull those 35 jets out of service. I’ve seen this movie before.

Delta did not want to pay for the training events in both directions, and didn’t need the scope so they satisfied LOA 9 by reducing large RJs.

Has nothing to do with what 9E did or didn’t want last year.

Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

Since that was how they handled it, the allowed scope was reduced. Then they couldn’t manage to operate within those limits, and now with increased traffic want the old limits back. Those are gone. If they would like to negotiate with our union to amend our contract, I bet DALPA would listen. They don’t though, they just want to violate the contract some more in order to get their way. The Delta Pilots PWA can’t be amended without the Delta Pilots.

I’m all for Endeavor pilots progression, it just shouldn’t be tied to our scope. Our scope can’t be negotiated by three other parties.

And 9e pilots don't want this tied to dal scope either. But we also can't say no because we saw what happened to comair when they said no. Honestly majority of us would just prefer a staple and then have the opportunity to bid larger aircraft.

I realize what the 9E pilots did or did not want matters not to upper management.

I sort of wonder about 9E ALPA pushing for flow up, and where were they in DL pilots' moment of need when, some three thousand of us were initially projected to go to the street? (Then ultimately became nearly 2,000).

I just think it's poopy and further illustrates this does nothing for current DL pilots (as far as I can tell).

And-again-I think agreements should not be one sided.

There is no need for me to search my feelings if there is nothing objective gained in this "agreement."

As far as I know, DALPA never approached the EDVMEC about a flow down.

And there was zero chance the ENDV MEC would have entertained a meeting then anyways. It is a one sided deal now that the 10 year black swan is winding down. Where was the flow down when I was about to be without an income? Scope is not for sale or to be negotiated away.
