The EDV MEC has been desperately trying to get a flow agreement with Delta for at least 10 years.

Yeah, but my point is they wouldn’t have agreed to furloughed delta pilots taking 90% of their current seats this time last year, in return for a carrot of flow in the future.

That's not an argument, because the flip side would be, the only time DALPA wanted a flow was when their pilots were in trouble. Also, DALPA can't offer a flow up, only management can.

I don’t think delta pilots are against flow up, we’re against flow up tied to scope expansion. I’m all for pilots having opportunities. Honestly I don’t really care about the flow down, I don’t think it will work in real life with thousands of pilots about to be furloughed.

You were never going to flow down anyway, flushing 90% of Endeavor is not going to happen. It would be too expensive to do that, instead it's cheaper to not furlough you at all, and for mgt to explore other options, e.g. SILs, Uncle Sugar, etc..

I don’t think you realize the stupidity of managements decisions this past year. They will do it and they will tell you how smart it was.

Thanks. As I said before I'm just wondering if I'm missing something. I don't have hard feelings for regional pilots. How could I?

I just think it's poopy and further illustrates this does nothing for current DL pilots (as far as I can tell).

And-again-I think agreements should not be one sided.

There is no need for me to search my feelings if there is nothing objective gained in this "agreement."
There should be no frustration with 9E.

DALPA should kill LOA 9 with their own arbitration process or negotiating capital.

It is out of line for a Delta pilot or DALPA to request 9E use their negotiating capital to help DALPA kill LOA 9.

A flow up for flow down is quid pro quo even if your too senior to benefit.

There is definitely a professional conflict of interest in play, but it should not generate animosity.

Should 9E quit negotiating for hourly raises because it reduces DALPA negotiated profit sharing?

Speaking for myself here's at least one EDV guy who was in favor of helping out DAL furloughees (as long as we got the same consideration in return when things picked up) but as others have said, that was not an option we were offered...
