There’s a possible rumor going around that DL will avoid hiring pilots from 9E who have left for a LCC (some say for up to one year). I’m wondering how much of this is damage control by 9E looking to stop the attrition vs. actual reality. I have seen multiple recent instances of CJOs going to folks who would fall into this bucket.
Given how DL talks extensively about their hiring needs, if this policy is true, it is extremely shortsighted and petty. It won’t bring folks back from a LCC, and could even solidify their likelihood to remain where they are. The sweet irony is that, for many, LCC + one year penalty box still comes out ahead of the current flow times.
I suppose time will tell if this is attrition control propaganda or policy. Anyone else seeing this in practice?

It is WORSE to submit an app, get an interview, and THEN admit to a PREVIOUS training failure you “forgot” to mention on your app before you got the interview.
The first is an error you might survive. The second will be interpreted as a lie to get the interview. That one you are unlikely to survive.

It is better to NOT have a training failure after submitting an app.

Okay. Thanks my deal here is that I was open about all my faa ride bust. Going through my documents I found some training documents I had to redo a few sim sessions. I have the documents and I didn’t put them on the application so that’s where I’m worried.

I don’t think it’s a major deal, I’ve heard worse. Talk to someone who does prep professionally and they’ll help you figure it out.

I forgot a 141 stage check failure on mine and caught it the night before the
interview while tabbing up my logbook. Within the first five minutes I fessed up to missing it. No idea if they caught it or not. They asked what caused it and how I fixed it. Had me manually add it to the record later. Got a CJO.
