Quote: Not west coast based, but I seem to recall used to be LA included the co-terminal airports for SC “promptly available” purposes, as NYC does. But then that changed. Anyone have insight into why (purely outta curiousity)? Seems San Diego falls (barely) within the zone of reasonableness on distance to LAX, so just wondering.
Anecdotal, so take it for what it’s worth, but I’ve flown with people who received CPO calls after responding to shortcall assignments from San Diego and hiring traffic.

Wonder where the cut off for reasonable short call distance is in their minds then.. Oceanside? Newport Beach?

Quote: While true for NYC, not true for LAX.

PWA 23.S.10 says SC is measured only from LAX.
Oh dang. Thanks for the correction.

Line holder question. Had a trip that started with a one leg day. Recently checked the rotation and now they added a turn making it a 3 leg day and a much earlier report time. Can they do that?

Like, day one started at 1300 with one leg and now it starts at 0800 with 3 legs?

If they added a turn before your original sign-in, then no they can not do that. Your obligation is to show are your originally scheduled start time.

23.G.3.d means he can still show at normal start time. He doesn't have to answer and if he's not contacted, then he has no requirement to show any time othet than originally scheduled report.
