Might as well YS because it's higher on the assignment ladder and the result is the same but you don't burn you GS #X. I always just take the win for having no obligation for the remainder of the month. Works great for having late in the month holidays off.

Some bean counter somewhere is smiling and taking notes. Just lessens my chance of a reserve trip so have at it. Enjoy the line without bidding a line. Specific days off could be a motivation because trip selection means nothing.

Unless your Reserve Guarantee was lowered, perhaps significantly, due to PD, CQ, VAC, TRNG, Velvet, ALPA, etc. I will agree that it's pretty uncommon, however, to make much sense if you already flew ALV-2 already though.

As a pilot that frequently bids reserve on purpose (for a nice break) I applaud all of them, and the frequent GS's too!

Has anyone noticed a difference in FRMS trip coverage this month? It appears that CS is assigning FRMS trips two days prior on X days and fishing for pilots to acknowledge outside of contractual obligations.

Are you referring to the new section in 23 B 2 where CS can assign trips 24 hours out?
