YES

CNO is only valid for conversion to SC

So what do you all do when the CNO is the only notification you get? Just no-show and prep your CPO speech?

Wait until they call. There is no CPO conversation to have.

I get what you're saying.....I do. But do you believe there won't be a phone call if you no show a rotation?

Hell, I called scheduling to inquire why I didn't get a call for a LC rotation that reported in less than 18 hours and got a phone call from my friendly neighborhood CPO. They were "just asking questions" tho, so I'm sure I didn't make it onto the spreadsheet.

There is not conversation to be had if you are not legally notified of an assignment/rest. And you have zero obligation to point out errors.

IF the CPO calls, calmly stand on the PWA, and you will be just fine.

What are they going to say, "hey we didnt follow the contract, why didn't you know about this trip in which you weren't properly notified?"

I've had this happen a few times over the years. Eventually they call (usually when you miss sign in) and just ask what time you can make it and that's the end of it. It's not different than when they try to assign you a trip after you haven't been properly notified of 30 hours rest. You tell them you don't have legal rest, the push back, check the tapes and then take the trip off your line.

Others gave the correct answer, but PWA 23.S.9.e is your reference.

As far as no-showing a rotation, I’ve done that probably 4-5 times over the last 2 years. Once scheduling finally calls you (usually around D30), it takes them 5-10 minutes to dig in and figure out where they screwed up. Once that happens they just remove the assignment and place you back on LC. Never once have I received a follow up call from the CPO.

Not check my schedule and wait for proper notification. What usually happens is they realize their mistake close in and send it out green or reroute somebody after they remove you. If/when the CPO calls tell them you were not notified of the assignment per the PWA. If they want more, then ask them for a meeting with representation.

We can't expect anyone to do our jobs for us and our failures are not their responsibility. Vice versa.

lol I've no showed a rotation three times now. Crew scheduling just deletes it when I don't show up at report. They know what they've done. Stop fixing their mistakes. Never once got a call from the CPO.

Notify me per the contract or I don't come to work. End of story.
