Thanks!
GS/IA/RR (not late ops) that interrupt xx day = PB Day(s).

Yes, call scheduling.

Default SC roll forward

How much rest do I need between SC periods?

usually CS seems to keep the same period, but they rolled me later for a SC tomorrow.. screwing up a commute I planned

10 hours is the FAR 117 minimum. You can’t be assigned SCs less than 18 hours apart. You can YS first in sequence to go from 18 down to 10. Unless you have a YS in nothing prevents scheduling from giving you a SC that starts more than 18 hours after the end of your last one.

This why if you think you're on the chopping block for SC, it's best to put in a YS for first in sequence for the SC you desire.

And then Scheduling can ignore it.

Speaking of ignoring slips,

Say I'm a glutton for punishment and out a blanket preference to be first on call. Will they honor it as long as the trip is legal and fits my footprint? Or do these also kinda get lost in the ether?

*Currently crying about my 4am wake ups after I SPECIFICALLY ASKED KINDLY to be assigned late flying only*

which promptly did ignore.. but when I called to inquire why two junior pilots got the period I wanted with same bucket and available days.. they didn’t make any excuses but just removed the SC altogether

I didn’t ask for that but was sure happy to receive it.. gets some distance between me and the mess right now

Default Quick question on cq

I have CQ that ends at 1738. After 9 hours, that makes me first contactable at 0238. I have a PR day from 0000-0400 that first day after CQ. The transition from CQ, to PR, to LC is confusing me. When is the earliest I can have a trip on my schedule?

You do not have an obligation to respond to any attempted contact on a training day or during rest/X day/PR day. Training is not rest thus you do not have a 24 hour non fly day period. Given all that you simply resume LC at 0400, with the earliest report being 18 hours after that point, and barring self-acknolwedgement any such assignment requires legal notification by scheduling.

Thanks much. The way you described that made it much simpler in my head. Thanks again.
