Another case of 1) Improper notification, AND 2) either lack of training <or> fishing: (I don't know which offends me more.)
Transitioning from REG to RES today so I has ZERO contractability yesterday, no schedule check requirement and no obligation to 'make myself aware' of stuff put on my schedule.
Company called yesterday and left a message. I didn't answer, and didn't bother listening to the message. I really wasn't interested in anything happening at work and didn't have any slips.
I checked the message this morning and it was a CNO notification for conversion to SC today. It was time stamped by my phone at 11:am-ish mecca-time yesterday.
Funny thing is that, if they had programmed the CNO to robo-call me at 0001, it would have been a completely legal use of CNO (LC-to-SC escalation w/18 hrs notification) AND a legal notification. But no, they sent it out at a non-contractual/non-contactable time so I wasn't properly notified.
What do you all think; fishing or lack of training? Either way, DART is going in. (one more example for negotiations)

- Hanlon's Razor
The automated SC "PCS" runs at approximately 1100 each day....after it gonkulates, the CNO's for the next day's SC are sent out....programming doesn't take into account things like coming off vacation day, CQ day, REG day (I've received CNO's on all three of those types of days)
Just disregard it....don't need to tell scheduling they screwed up.....I would just let the SC sit.....if they call you for a flying assignment then you can tell them at that time you didn't know you had SC.....if they don't call you for anything, then you get some SCC out of it.
Win-Win!

Thanks for the info.

Ignore it until they contact you during a contactable status. Then and only then, inquire when a notification occured.

That depends on when the trip releases. You get no PB days for the LC day since it is not an interrupted X day. The next day is interrupted for sure, and if the trip blocks in after 1430 then you'd have a 2nd interrupted X day, since the clock stops 9 hours after release (1430 block + 30 min = 1500 release + 9 hours = midnight). If you have additional LC days in the month, this means a PR for however many minutes the 2nd X day is interrupted, and if you have no more LC, it results in a 2nd banked PB day.

So.. back to the 0600 pre posted rest on the last rsv day before a golden x day. Earlier in the month scheduling gave me a trip that dropped the pre posted 0600 rest on my schedule the last rsv day before my golden x day. Trip released at 1405.
Today I get assigned a 3 day trip starting Sunday. I have 4 days of availability starting Sunday. There are 4 pilots with 3 days of availability all starting lc the same time as me sunday at 0000. Should the trip not have gone to one of them? The only thing i can think of is they all have to preposted rest the 17th starting at 0600. But as I said above they dropped that 0600 rest for me earlier in the month and assigned me a trip that released at 1405.
i called scheduling and they said the reason none of those pilots got the trip is because of that pre posted rest. By that logic i should have never gotten the trip earlier in the month that interfered with my preposted 0600 rest. Seems like bs to me that they just cut into mine and then refuse to drop others 0600 rest to assign them a trip. What is that all about? Its not consistent at all I just dont get it. Any insight would be great maybe im missing something.
