A simple way to break it down is that you get the block for the month in which you fly it and all the credit gets pushed to the last day.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I have it figured out now.

On to a third GS issue. I was scheduled to start SC from 0600-1200 on Jan 6. At 1430 on the 5th I was awarded a 4-day GS from 6-9 Jan checking in at 0620. Day 1 of the GS is over my SC day, days 2-4 are over X days. How does the first day pay? Does it go toward my reserve guarantee or, because it is a GS, do I get straight pay on top of guarantee? My time card is currently showing toward guarantee, but the trip still says open.

Sched Alert 19-07 covers RES GS with less than 12 hrs to report.

It doesn’t apply in your case, but to clarify, not all credit pays on the last day. “Trip” credits, like ADG and trip rig, pay on the last day. “Daily” credits like the 2 hour dpm, duty credit, and minutes under pay on the day they are earned.

1st day goes toward guarantee…you were on reserve and had +12hrs before report. If you’re reporting earlier than PWA requirements…then you’d be getting above guarantee. Anytime I’ve done that, I’ve always had to call CS to get my pay fixed.

Question: under Pay/Hours in iCrew then bank > add update bank requests, I’m showing bank: 0 however Avail deposit credit: 7:18. I’m wondering what Avail deposit credit is? It seems I can enter an amount to have deposited into my time card. Did I earn that somehow? Don’t have any pb days in bank or anything so I was unsure where that came from.
also, can I use that to drop a trip?

you have 87:18 total credit for the month. At your option, you can deposit those hours (credit above 80–up to 20 total) into your bank this month.

you can later withdraw those hours (up to the lesser of ALV+5 or 82 credit, limited to 5 if you have a GS that bid period) for pay, buying vacation, or to fill up to the GS trigger.

This is what I was missing. I was under the impression that all GSs on reserve paid above guarantee on the first day. Didn’t know about the trip being assigned >12hrs. Thank you.

That’s my understanding…essentially if you’re getting called on a reserve day that meets reserve callout criteria …no GS pay. I haven’t experienced this scenario, but CS could have broken the trip up and just assigned you day 1 off SC…that happens frequently.

Another slightly different example;

-you’re coming off an x-day and starting reserve…Arcos calls for a 0800 report for a GS. You don’t have to report that early, hence why you’re getting called for the GS. That day should pay above guarantee…you’ll probably have to have scheduling pay you accordingly. If the trip is multiple days…and you are on reserve…those days just go toward the reserve guarantee. Another gotcha is that first day only pays BL..so if it’s a 1x short flight…it won’t pay well. Lastly, you’ve burned GS#1, so you’re now at the bottom of the callouts. You might have a reason to take such a callout…but most the time I pass on these callouts.
