Coming off a soft day off scheduling can assign a trip reporting as early as 10 hours after the start of LC as long as it is on your schedule by 9 hours prior to the start of LC. So for your standard midnight start you can report as early as 10AM if they put it on your schedule by 1500 the day prior. When this happens the pilot is responsible to know if they have been given and assignment and scheduling will not contact the pilot.

Yeah, that's more what I was getting at. I didn't have the PWA in front of me so I couldn't remember the exact wording. Any VAC day (including IVD's) protects you from any report prior to 12 hours after the start of LC.

Can a regular line captain get awarded a rotation with an FCF on reserve? Do they just call you up and brief you or is it something you sign up for before and are on a special list…or do only LCPs do them? SRH/PWA/DLnet are all kind of vague…
thx

Question about sick time with a spillover trip from reg to reserve.
Had a 3-day spillover trip in February bid period that I called in sick for. Day 2 of trip I called in well before noon. The way I understand it, those last two days of trip that are in the new bid month (and now with a reserve line) revert to long call. However, my time card is still showing I was charged sick time for those last two days of the spillover trip.
Is that correct?

I'm reasonably confident it requires a LCP paired with any FO.

FOM 23. The CA has to have completed the FCF training program for the fleet (all LCA's have done this as part of their training.)
