Any "Latest & Greatest about Delta?" Part 2

In what way, exactly?
My friends at AA get paid correctly, aren’t harassed for using the commuter policy, and aren’t harassed for calling in sick. They’re seeing fewer contract compliance issues than us.
There are still pros to working at Delta, but the pilot / management relationship is no longer one of them.

My observation is that the company is still not paying 23M7 unless someone catches them on that particular trip. If no one calls them, they would never pay a single 23M7.

Our trip coverage sequence needs to change. An IA is just a GS without a trigger. Everyone who flies overtime wants one. It’s a horrible distribution system. Blast everyone and create a free-for-all.

This. The company is blatantly violating the contract. I’d like to see IA go via seniority via arcos. Maybe get rid of it outright. Negotiate with company tolet them blast everyone with no regards to auto accept, but pay everyone that gets the call the 2 hours we used to get for batch size penalties. The company has screwed us to the point we have to do something about it. It’s not right. Green slips are practically disappearing.

IA’s were created before cell phones. The pilot was required to come in if scheduling got ahold of someone. This was supposed to happen after everyone was called for a GS. Call GS down the list, then IA back up the list. Things have changed completely. Our trip coverage sequence is dated. That being said, the company is blatantly disregarding it. They’re claiming 23.M.7 but not actually paying anyone via 23.M.7.

But our 2023 MEC said giving up batch sizes was the right thing to do. From Scheduling Alert 23-11:
"This settlement ensures that Crew Scheduling will not be allowed to deviate from the PWA Section 23 N. and O. steps of trip coverage unless the scheduler believes it is necessary to do so in order to maintain schedule integrity AND the rotation in question is scheduled to report within eight hours of the time it is covered. Crew Scheduling is also required to publish in that category’s Daily Trip Coverage"
In one of the C81 comms after the 9-8 vote, RH predicted this exact scenario:
"Crew Scheduling can just wait until the 8-hour prior to report point, and then pull the pin on the hand grenade and yell “fire in the hole” by invoking 23.M.7 and the IA process via the Crew Notification System. When that happens, IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR PCS or ARCOS SETTINGS ARE. EVERYONE WHO HAS THEIR PHONE ON IS CALLED!"

Lol right! Big surprise that giving away batch sizes didn't actually work and only helped the company. We were fools to let that happen and we're fools if we give away something else to solve this made up crisis.
