Is there a time frame for the submitted to be responded to? I think that one has been like that for awhile.

Thanks for the quick reply.

None at all. Company has many unanswered sitting on their proverbial desk.

Absolutely not. Taskings pop up, people do have an obligation to their reserve or guard unit that didn't exist two days ago. One of my units did a lot of DSCA (Defense Support of Civil Authorities) ie disaster relief. So the idea of being punished by for having to go help with a flood or hurricane is ludicrous.

So no, absolutely no.

You're not being punished. It's not even close. That's like saying you are getting punished for calling in sick by not retaining priority for your green slip that you were only eligible for by calling in sick. It's not even an arguement.

If your MLOA had no bearing on your effect to pick up silver slips then you retain your priority. You're just not getting a good deal at the expense of the pilot group.

”At the expense of the pilot group”

No. Like I said, pop up taskings happen. So abrogating seniority because you think MLOA is causing harm at the expense of the pilot group is a nonstarter.

Ah yes, the mental contorting is strong with this one. Abrogating seniority? Really? I'd love to hear more about how this would abrogate your seniority. As was mentioned several times before. If your dropping of MLOA has no bearing on whether you'd be legal for that SS, then have at it, pick up all the SS you want. If the only reason you are legal for the SS is by your use of MLOA, you go to the bottom of the list. How is that abrograting your seniority? Really, you're going to have to lay it out step by step.

Are people who call in sick and are placed at the bottom of the GS priority list when the only reason they are legal for said GS is by calling in sick, is their seniority also abrogated?

This deflection by some military bros, their downplaying or straight up denial that this abuse doesn't occur just makes the spotlight even more intense. As I mentioned before, if you want to make a good deal for yourself at the expense of the company. Go for it. If you are trying to make a good deal for yourself by jumping in front of other pilots, good luck with the inevitable pushback from that. That's total bs, and this "woe, is me" victim stance makes it even more pitiful.

There are a couple of ridiculous, short-sighted suggestions in here the company would love.

we need to be protected from ourselves.

Hence more than 1/2 the PWA does that very thing, protect pilots QOL from themselves/other pilots.

Yes, abrogating seniority.

So I gotta drop a Monday thru Thursday trip because I gotta extend a day into Monday freeing me Tues to Thursday. A SS pops up on Friday that I would not have available due to a 30/168 violation.

But according to you I should be moved to the bottom of the list for that SS on Friday because I’m “abusing” MLOA.

Explain to me how that’s not abrogating my seniority?

Because you would have never been eligible for it in the first place! You want to pick up something, pick up a trip anytime from Tuesday to Thursday. You want that trip on Friday, then you get it at single time, or you go to the bottom of the silver slip list, unless you were eligible for it without the help of MLOA.

Again, it's EXACTLY the same as sick and GS. Are people who get sick last minute having their seniority abrograted when they are put to the bottom of the GS priority? You haven't answered that. It's exactly the same as this scenario.

I don't have a dog in this fight... but the sick person was pay-protected (with sick time), the MLOA person was not.
