Let’s see how long it takes for the current C81 Chair to assume the role of G/A Affairs Chairman…

Not true. ALPA has a plus up stipend for disability. It bumps you up to 5:15 a day from whatever the disability payment is. At least that’s how it works for committee people on the stipend. I’d assume it would be the same

I am not sure what ALPA has to do with company paid disability. The company disability would be offset dollar for dollar once you reached your FAE from additional income. If your FAE is 300,000 a year your disability is 150,000 a year. You can earn 150,000 a year to bring your earnings up to your FAE of 300,000. At that point any additional income is offset dollar for dollar from the disability payment. Basically you can’t earn above whatever your FAE might have been.

I’ve used him for years, I prefer him over any doctor I have ever had. Excluding the psychiatrist who quit, have more sympathy for people who dealt with KP then KP.

Someone posted all of the hearings, didn’t make Her very likable.

Because the people on a stipend get their full disability + pay from alpa to “make whole”

So that means they are making normal pay. I am not sure why there is a problem with that. They are getting the same overall pay as anyone doing ALPA work. They are not double dipping as implied.

Heck, isn't JA replacing an ALPA President who served almost all of his term while retired from FedEx? 🙄🤔

Has this changed in the last few years? I tried to volunteer for the Scheduling Committee in 2019ish, even came in and met with KS. I was told that being on LTD was essentially a show-stopper, even if literally as a pure volunteer.

I would have loved to get that plus-up while making 50%. Or is this only for those on full FPL?
