Lol. You really have no idea what you’re talking about. Re-read what he wrote, and what I wrote.
To address your $7 vs $11k GS example though (again, a totally separate issue), that’s not even how that would work. The communal 23M7 pot, as you’ve described it, would get paid to everyone, even if they are on vacation or working a full schedule all month / completely unavailable. So the pilot taking the $11k GS would ALSO get the $7. It’s not an either or scenario.
On days on which a pilot would otherwise not be working, they would be farming to maximize their category’s M7 payout.

I think ALPA should add a "how to" on farming to it's summer survival pub. We need to maximize this to pressure the company to settle quicker in section 6. They have already launched the first salvo with all the scheduling shenanigans. (delaying coverage to 8 hours out, preposting reserve rest, CNO of SC combined with other notification, PB wash SS etc.)

So once a pilot reaches max pickup limit, they should stop being awarded 23m7 correct? And if that’s true…. then it’s not being captured in the way the process is being executed.
And I thought IAs could not be awarded to pilots above ALV? Also not being followed if true.

So the average pilot has no idea what’s going on. Perfect. Hope ALPA does a lot of digging into this disaster. Same pilot has received 7 23m7 trips so far today, and counting. He’s going to have a Merry Christmas indeed.

It's worse than that. Just read on FB that someone talked to SK, who said that isn't always happening and guys are getting M7 above ALV+15. Not surprised really. It makes total sense to keep giving m7 to same "harmed" pilot over the same footprint...

unless it’s for missed green slips, a pilot should not get 23m7 above the pick up limit.

"Should not" is the key factor there. Basically trip coverage reports aren't always being pulled (which would exlude pilots over the pu limit), and theyre going off a list of who has slips in. The poster said they got their information straight from SK, so I tend give it credence. Yet another reasons I think you see more and more side deals happening.

It’s great that pilots are getting paid to do nothing and trips are going out as triple pay. It doesn’t help me or pilots like me one bit.
We are being harmed financially. Trips I used to do as premium pay will now be done by me at straight pay or someone way junior at premium pay. Most likely the latter. It’s not right.
