Ok, you're right it further demonstrates the bad will that management operates with. There's no reason for concern if you receive one was my point.

Just file a dart that the click to sick on Micrew must be malfunctioning and is erroneously calling you in and out sick and is not yet ready for primetime.

The letters will still backfire on management in many other ways, however.
yeah pretty much this. Anyone who ever worked at a regional knows that the FAA gives carriers pretty much whatever discretion they want over attendance policies. The FAA basically says, it’s illegal to fly sick, so call out, but if you call out too much, maybe you aren’t fit for the job so yeah your employer can fire you under poor reliability if that’s their policy.

My previous regional, I had an ACP tell me that a sick call meant you were in bed, not doing anything. He told me this when I answered his equivalent of a GFB call. Oh you're well enough to answer the phone, you must be well enough to go to work.

Sadly, looks like we're heading that way here

It would be interesting to see the venn diagram of pilots who got one of these harassment letters AND a warn letter circa covid. Delta sure is sowing the seeds of the next generation of disgruntled captains. Personally…I’d want my most autonomous work group to be pushing profitability forward, and not justifiably digging their heels in.

I thought the comm was perfect.

“We heard some bulldung letters went out, fly the contract and the FOM, here’s the references, and ignore the nothingburger letter….we have your back.”

Agreed.

ASAPs only provide shielding from FAA certificate actions, not from company consequences.

As a side note, ASAPs don't provide protection from deliberate falsifications. Which, as I understand it, is what the company is targeting. That is to say, using sick leave as PTO (I've flown with plenty who've explicitly called it PTO and they intend to use it now that GFC are gone).

ASAPs are weak sauce for this.

Imagine being upset by a WARN letter.

My last airline folded with less than 36 hours notice.

WARN letters are awesome. 60 days to get ready for the worst.

Imagine thinking to yourself “your experience didn’t suck as much as mine, so it must not have sucked at all”
