That's cherry picking by zip code or smaller. I always figured you for a Council 44 guy. That median in income puts you in 16, 54 or 66.

This was spring 2018, NYC 7ER.

And yes, theres a lot of things that how it goes are basically dumb luck with who you get in the CPO. Which is why I want some protection for ground commuting in the contract. Not left to "please let the CP on duty be one of the reasonable ones"

I've had to call off for childcare/family illness. The vast majority of the interactions have been incredible, except one. It was one of the most disrespectful interactions I've ever had here with someone who was stunningly ignorant of even the most basic concepts on how PD/APDs work.

sounds like the way it used to happen all the time under a certain guy whose name rhymed with Hockey (no reference to the poster here though)

ASAPs are weak sauce for this.
If the company is targeting deliberate falsifications, then they’re at a shooting range with a blindfold on. The vast majority of pilots who received these letters used sick time for legitimate reasons.

”GFC” is not gone. (I’m assuming you mean GFB.)

You’re incorrect on ASAPs providing no protection from company discipline as well. Regardless, you’ve been here long enough to see the company attempt discipline for sick calls and fail miserably (see the Harris ruling, ATL 03-09). If the company attempts discipline again, not only will it not stick, but it will further galvanize the pilot group against them and cost far more in the long run.

This and other examples here are why we need a separate PTO bank. I put it in my survey and more folks should be talking about it as well.

It'd be for way more things though. Think dropping a trip with pay, that odd emergency that isn't technically covered under 'sick', padding vacay time, etc. Similar to our bank now, but accrued each pay check. In my view it'd roll over each year and probably be capped.

That does not apply to all bases.

Though if the company is forced to give a benefit to one base due to state laws, it really should be forced to give it to all. My opinion only obviously. Of course if there are any downside issues, well I don’t want those!
