Yeah, that withdrawal began with Trump during his presidency. War is chaos but this administration also didn't have to start it. Take your whataboutism somewhere else

And it has caused quite a bit of damage already at a cost of $12 billion. We are tapping into our oil reserves just to stabilize pricing, oil is starting to soar at over $100 barrel. In 18 days all that has happened and I'm not even getting into some of the other details. I'm not saying panic but this isn't a normal situation and we should start acting accordingly.

Okay, I'll rephrase it for you. Crude oil was $64 a barrel before this operation. Now it's nearly $100 per barrel within the span of 18 days. 20% of the world's crude oil suddenly being cut off is not normal. Anyway, you slice it. It's not good for any of us. Does that satisfy your requirements?

Crude oil was 20% higher in 2022 than it is right now.

Just more politically motivated histrionics & faux outrage. How tiresome.

okay, I’ll slice it. Cheap oil is nice. It’s very convenient for making my life comfortable. Understanding what goes into that cheap price is a useful endeavor and I’ve learned that many factors shape the price of oil. Most of those factors are sadly beyond my control. However, if a rogue nuclear power can take 20% of the supply As a hostage then I’d be concerned that the FUTURE price of oil might never again be lower than 64. Thankfully some forward-thinking people, probably even progressive-thinking people if one could coin that phrase, recognized that threat and ALSO decided to do something about it so that the FUTURE price of oil (and stability and peace) will not be so high. Heap oil is nice but it’s all an illusion if I don’t pay attention to the other factors that go into it.

Maybe Obama could have ponied up a little more cash then the Mideast would be at peace.

Marco Rubio’s speech in opposition to Obama’s policies is worth watching.
Before the war began name 10 Americans killed unprovoked by Iran in the last 10 years.

Keep an eye on jet fuel. This is the long term jet vs crude pricing from IATA. Hopefully we get a reversal to norm soon.
