Explain how opposing a hot war in the ME with a country we apparently don’t understand (“we never thought they would bomb our bases”) and controls the most important waterway in the world is political histrionics/faux outrage. I think you are trying to squeeze a non-partisan issue into a partisan bottle.

I don’t have to squeeze anything. He plainly states it in multiple posts.

Its not what I say or my opinion, it's reality.
If you are interested google "The Algiers Accords & the Iran-US Claims Tribunal".
The payments made during the Obama administration were the last made by the US to Iran. The lawsuit dates back to 1981. If I recall, $1.7 billion was paid to Iran from the US and $2.5 billion was payed from Iran to the US. The money went to individuals, companies and both governments. The reason the payments were made in cash was because Iran was under sanctions and didn't have access to the international banking system.
You know, when you silo yourself in a information echo chamber in an environment where both foreign and domestic actors are trying to manipulate public opinion, you are surrendering your sovereignty. You are literally allowing people who you have never met, people who's motivations you don't understand to control what you think.

Are you aware of this guy's history? Previously a Democrat and before that a Libertarian. He's also on record advocating that Iran is a major threat to the US and that we must eliminate their nuclear and missile capabilities. Here's a relevant quote from Jan 2020: “Trump’s restraint shows that he wants a deal with Iran & his red line is American loss of life & IR nuke development." So...which is it? Are they a threat or aren't they? I'm not denigrating his experience but the cards that he's played over the years show a shifting narrative and that deserves scrutiny.
