As a 12 year 320 FO, It took roughly 45 minutes of flying to pay for this paint. We may be averaging 3% inflation, but it doesn't feel that low when I walk out of the store. I think we will be moving backwards years 2 and 3 of this contract with 3% increases (IMHO).
Carry on. TC |

My understanding is shadow days will give you credit towards your line value. I think it's a pro ration of the ALV. Regardless, I think the value of the days will show up on your PBS Calendar. I don't think it can award a trip on those shadow days.
PBS WILL award you trips during your shadow period. They will subsequently be dropped back into the pot and awarded to a junior bidder. You are not responsible to fly any of the trips that touch any of your shadow days. You will be paid the value of these trips or whatever you fly, such as OE, whichever is greater. The gouge is to bid as much credit touching your shadow days as possible. With only 6 days of shadow you can really only get 30 hours max (30-7 limit) but I'd try to fit as much credit into that shadow period as I could to frontload your month and give you more pay, with more time off at the end of the month. Keep in mind that it's any trip that touches ANY part of the shadow period, so you could bid a 2 day on 1st and 2nd. Then a 5 day, or more depending on the category, starting on the 6th. The entire rotation will be awarded/paid, but dropped back into the pot, because the 6th is a shadow day. Happy bidding! |

It's oil based, should be cheaper next week but they will raise the crack spread on paint so it won't be cheaper unless you buy a paint factory.

NOT CORRECT! You can call the PBS hotline to verify, but I had this situation in May.

Sorry 'bout that. I meant all 50 seaters.
Which I think lends to one of the oddities of the whole 76 for 50 seater swap, when did it dawn on folks that the 50 seater was not economical? And was that before or after they signed long term contracts for the airplanes that they are now asking for relief on? |
