I think someone said re enstatement rights only last 6 months so I think I'm going to be out of luck getting back to DTW on the ER. I'm looking for a different crashpad in NYC. I'm willing to pay up to $400 per month for the right place if it's really nice. I'm sick of my hot sheet pad with 20 people coming and going 24/7. PM me if you know of anything. All areas considered.

You wouldn't. It's either LCC and AMR or AMR standalone. Not very exciting, but that's the reality. We might pick up a few slots when it's all said and done, or possibly do a terminal swap in JFK, but that's about it. The Haneda issue is still the most pressing thing down the road.
The reality here is that the AMR issue can solve the HND issue very easily for DAL. It may not be good for the DAL pilots, but for the corporation there is this whole winning in LHR, solving HND and the AMR mess that could be done with one major event. Fact is, DAL doesn't even need to spend a lot and buy all of AMR to do it either. It comes down to what RA and the Board decide to do. There are many "one-offs" with this deal, and all of them are possible and plausible depending on one or two facts that may not yet be set in stone. |

12. A pilot who holds an MD will, without regard to the standing bids of senior pilots, be 31 reinstated to the category from which he was displaced if: 32 a. a vacancy is posted in such category and the earliest conversion date stated in the 33 posting is within the 180 day period following the conversion date of his MD, 34 b. his standing bid indicates a request for such reinstatement, and 35 c. such vacancy has not been filled by reinstatement of a pilot senior to him who was 36 also awarded an MD from such category. 37 13. A pilot who holds an MD may displace a pilot in any category who is junior to him and 38 who was in such category on the award date of his MD. ^ hope there may be a silver lining or hope there. Good luck. |

^^^^ grasshopper, pre Delta. i'll never forget standing next to you know who (who is now senior to us) while he slept standing up at the back of the pit at the (see below). And then you'd knee him in the back as a girl would walk by and well, he'd get slapped. Good times. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XmW-o2_eHo...upper+Club.jpg |

Why AMR? Well, where do I start? 1. Severely cripple the Oneworld alliance. 2. Get AMR's Latin America route structure. 3. Get their almost brand new JFK terminal. 4. Get their DFW operation. Those are just 4 off the top of my head.
Jet Blue? Not so much. The only reason to acquire them is to get rid of a competitor. Delta could just get more 320's and do exactly what JB is doing now. Cannot do that with AMR. Denny IMO the only use for a JB buyout from our position would be to keep T4 and add their T5. That would be an awesome facility. But it would be very expensive as we would have to pay dearly just to buy and divest mass amounts of marketshare to SWA and AA, but not until after 2500 very, very junior pilots took their swing at full relative. |
