It is actually different rules than bidding. You can't have more than 6 on call days in a row, and you can't have less than two x days in a row. So if moving your x day causes 7 days in a row of work or a lone x day it will give you that error message.

What I posted was for the initial bid. The rules may change once schedules are awarded, as Brocc15 posted here. I'm not certain. The best thing to do would be call Crew Scheduling and ask them. :)

How many 737-900s are being added in that time?

It doesn't make too much difference since the 737s are slated as replacement aircraft but with this little growth I wonder what else is being parked.

88 717s added
16 MD-90s added
= 104 added aircraft but the fleet is only going up by 66.

How many DC9s are currently in the system?

The presentation states the fleet will be at 796 BY 2015 which to me means the end of 2014. We will only have taken 52 717's by then i believe. 16 in 2013 and 36 in '14 and '15.

Also the slides go from 740 currently to 796 a net increase of 56 between now and 12/31/14...

Supa,

I beleive FDX credits 6 hours min and 6 hours for every 24 hours gone - essentially a 4-1 trip rig. In this case FDX would probably be better for a short turn paying 6 hours to DALs 5:15 but for longer trips the DAL trip rig of 3.5-1 is better than FDX 6 hours per 24, essentially a 4-1 trip rig.

Check with your FDX buddy and see if this is correct since this was explained to while out on a bike ride and I am not 100% sure of the FDX rigs.

So to answer your question on this specific issue they are probably comparable.

Great news, particularly since it's an SEC filing, which carries criminal sanctions if intentionally misleading.

Weren't quite a few on here stating that the new TA wouldn't generate new jobs. This latest SEC filing states that the new PWA was critical to accomplishing the refleeting that's creating a net plus of 66 aircraft for the mainline. Others were on here lambasting a T&G that stated that we would increase staffing by about 1000 with this PWA.

Glad to see the growth. Appreciate the hard work so many of our fellow pilots put in knocking down the misinformation campaign during the TA ratification.

Word from the Management road shows is no hiring until late 2013 early 2014.

Also, word from the school house is that we are "retiring" 50 A-319's over the next three years as they "time out".

Where is the "growth"??

I think hiring totally depends on the economy. We could hire 1000 pilots in the next two years or 0. It totally depends on what the all knowing Network terds decide to do.

Thanks guys! Sorry I got snippy. I appreciate your time in helping me. From outside the airline world looking in, there are many things that are so foreign to what I'm used to that it's difficult to get a good picture of it without being actually in the situation. Kind of like just before leaving Active Duty for the Reserves...

Did you get your schoolhouse "word" from J Fielding's "big announcment?":p

The fleet book lists 722 mainline aircraft on property. The SEC filing says 796 mainlin aircraft by 2015. That's an increase of 74 mainline jets, or 10% in the next 28 months.

There's the growth.

Oh, and the same SEC presentation shows DCI shrinking to 425 frames.

76Drvr had it right.

The 319s are some of our youngest aircraft. They won't be retiring those anytime soon. We do have some older 320s, but I doubt they'll park 50 of them.

The truth is in the CASM numbers. If I have time I'll look them up and post.

Look at the CASM on the B717. We're still getting 88 of them. And to date, no additional 76 seaters. The 319 fills a gap. Just like the DC9 that has been given multiple extensions on its retirement date. :)
