No, and I wish we could but Delta Technology won't allow it for "security reasons".

Not sure it was "rushed", looking at it from another perspective it was more along the lines of "we know what we want, you know what you want, let's cut the cr@p and do this" so we can both get back to work focusing on operating the airline.

Not much time wasted caring about "what the membership wants." Granted, DALPA has never released the survey results but I don't know too many DAL guys whose wish list included "outsourcing 70 brand-new 76-seat jets with mainline comfort, performance, and capabilities to be flown on a coast-to-coast network and will that will stick around for another 20-25 years."

Considering none have been around that long yet, that's kind of reaching IMO. It's not known whether the product is capable of that lifespan, nor do we now know if they'll be in demand that long. While I didn't ask for more large RJs, I did ask for more mainline flying and less RJ flying. So while I may disagree with the road taken(which is why I voted NO) in reality the goal I asked for was met.

Quick question for you PBS experts..... Can you get reserve days unstacked on to your schedule, or is that only for REG people? Trying to decide if it's worth bidding reserve in DEC.

Thanks!

You'd think they were sending us launch codes our something...can't remember the last time I was sent anything that wasn't in a press release earlier that same day.

Sure can - as you get more junior on reserve, the chance of being unstacked go up. From experience, Dec 25th, 24th, and either the first or second weekend of Dec tends to get unstacked near the bottom of the list. I guess in the weekends are people going to holidays parties.

I have not done it, but a quick search on DeltaNet (in the search bar on the top right) showed some promise. I searched for "exchange email" showed some promising results. The first couple of documents will give you some direction on how to proceed. I won't go into more details for security reasons, but it appears that some employees can do just what you're asking about.

I would recommend putting a reserve bid group in first with the days that you want off. I'm assuming the 24th and 25th. Put a prefer off request 24, 25, then put else start next. If you get those days unstacked on you, it will go to your next bid group. Call the PBS guys. They are there to help. They will check your bid and make sure you did everything right. It's a great resource that is really underutilized by our group.

31 - 7 vac - 2 CQ = 22 . . . 19-23 is 4 short calls

X Days based on 12.N.2.a
31 day month ALV less than 74:59
31 - 7 vacation days = 24
31 day month chart with 24-25 days = 11 X Days

24 days to bid - 11 X-Days = 13 days of reserve

13 Days of Reserve, 2 Days "on-call" removed for CQ

11 Days On Call for December

(CVG/MSP/NYC all get the 20% "extra X Day", so 10 Days on call for them)

Old PWA, the CQ days were prorated for the month before determining your place on the X-Day chart, so you stayed higher on the tables for days of work and short calls.

New PWA, CQ days are removed from your scheduled on-call days AFTER any pro-ration, and then once your month is done and CQ removed, THEN you count the days to determine Short Call max.

OK, thanks. But when you figured out the number of days on reserve under the old contract as 15 did you deduct the 2 days of CQ from 17? Or did you leave them in to get stay at 15. If you left them in because they're technically not removed then you're not really comparing apples to apples are you?

I agree with hockeypilot. Except for the under utilization of the PBS Bid assist line. My hold times are always so long!!! :D
