The same way I know that ICrew was down because the ATL FA bids came out today :D.

I don't mean to say the FA's have a great deal. You can have that job... but when the company complains to ALPA that they can't afford this or that in our next contract because the FA's will want it, I hope that we have enough guys saying "yeah, but..."

So Delta wants to tell the world that we are diverse, we love our jobs, and we love our leaders. Nothing on that survey will help any leader make this place any better. My 50 words or less input was to let each of us know how much we spent to hire a third party company to conduct a worthless survey for us.

Gave up on the survey half way through it.
Too much touchy feely crap.

Almost as worthless as the survey asking us what to call "quick turns." I took it and chose "quick turn." I hope we're not paying these people a lot to develop these surveys.

The company never claims that to ALPA. However regardless of what you believe its in the companies thought process at all times and it actually should be. Their job is to run the best airline they can. If tomorrow they gave us a 50 percent pay raise and funded it by cutting the other employees pay by 30 percent how do you think the airline would function afterword. That is a unrealistic extreme example but the exact same factors play every time we get a new contract or some other improvement.
Last fall a petition went out to many employees and was signed by thousands demanding to know why the pilots were getting so much more then the other employees and why they were not getting equal raises. I saw a copy that described the pilots as the chosen ones! This same phrase was on the flight attendant call in minutes. The head of inflight did a very poor job of responding sadly. She could have pointed out the terminated retirement and larger pay cuts we took but did not.
We as pilots don't live in a vacuum regardless of what some would like to think. Everything in a business is related and tied together. Why do you think management goes to such great lengths to hide their own perks and raises. It all has a impact.

Yeah, that one was second on my list of time wasted. I think they had the LCA cadre come up with the choices on that one.....it was right after they came up with "deferred" and "verified" for checklist responses.

I wanted to be aboe to write in options for the quick turn thing... I think it should be called "pull out and pray."

Now that was funny.
Lets hope we get the AE out so we can stop talking about FA and surveys. We can start celebrating our upward movement that sailing tells us.

Anyone who signed that survey makes less than us because they are dumb enough not to know why we make more than them. Maybe if they went to college they would make more than $9/hr.
