If you go to the DALPA site and click on the Pilot Blast Icon, you can sign up for the Blast messages. They send you text messages for important items like when your PBS bid is complete. One of those messages is for when the AE awards are done. That way you don't have to mess with your computer all day, wait for the text message and then log on.

Too slow.

There will probably be a 15 minute delay before DALPA gets that Blast message out.

Somebody will have the first analysis up on "Latest and Greatest" way before that.

Hey Timbo,

No more Barge Inn. Last time I was downtown, it was gutted and have since heard it has been torn down. Is Sir Richard going to rebuild? Who knows.

Jinks

Happily, Barge Inn will be reopening this spring in the same location, new larger building. May have to find out when opening night is and bid accordingly.

DAL stock hit $17 today. :)

Thanks for the heads up Jinks.

I was flying MD11 F/O ATL-NRT all the time (1998-2000?) when it first opened. I was THRILLED that we finally had a place to get real beer and some NON-Noodle food! Darts, pool tables, and a live band downstaris in the early years, I always liked the place.

Damn, now where am I going to find a real beer in NRT? I've got a trip there next mo.

Thanks Flyallnight, great idea!

Sorry Hockeypilot has that attitude. I've had DAL pilots give up the JS for me numerous times and take the FA JS. It's appreciated, and I do everything I can to get a DAL pilot, any pilot for that matter, on. There is a weight problem w/ the CRJ200 especially a short flight w/ an alternate unfortunately. Shouldn't be a problem with the 700/900. At ExpressJet (ASA) our JS priority is as follows:

1.Company pilots
2.Skywest pilots
3.Delta/other DCI pilots
4.OAL pilots

We also go ahead of DAL employees on our aircraft for nonreving. Thanks again for the jumps from the Delta pilots and SWA pilots as well, they're great too!

My experience with jumpseating on DCI has been great. The crews are always accomodating. Plus, I've never flown with a CA that doesn't work hard to get RJ guys/gals on. Every airline has their jerks, but most realize we're all just trying to get to/from work.

Me thinks FTB should be staring at the computer screen waiting for the results and ready to make a fancy table/chart to show the DOH for plug in each category/base...... FTB.... U up to that?:D

If you do shoot me a PM next time you need help installing a microwave! I think I'm pretty close to ya

Hey Fisher, you should see the Bass I caught off my dock last night! My wife got a couple picts of it on an iPhone, I'll see if I can figure out how to upload it, but I'm a caveman, so it could be awhile...:D

Sigh. Really sad to see this kind of defeatist attitude from such a relatively new employee. Especially sad because it's based on the utterly false premise that we expend negotiating capital for all working groups. :(

I've never said it's illegal for either side to negotiate for industry standard contracts. I've said it's illegal under the RLA to negotiate for another employee group that is not part of the contract under negotiations. That is considered impermissible bargaining under the RLA and is specifically prohibited.

Why else would they have caved and given other labor groups the raise?

Because management has made the financial calculation that it is cheaper to do so compared to the other employee group unionizing. That's their calculation and they're entitled to make it. It just has no bearing on us unless our union allows it. Why they allow it is the question.

Can you cite the section of the RLA that prohibits management from negotiating for industry standard wages, please? For all our benefit.

I've never said that, nor does the RLA. it only says that it's illegal for a union or management to use RLA bargaining for the benefit of another employee group.
