The Ho Hiring was dependent upon getting the 717s, the economy not getting any worse and the company executing it's business plan.

So no Ho Hiring.

:D

Crap.....freaking ALPA for buying the company's Ho hiring plan in the first place. Congrats on the AE.

It usually doesn't. If anyone junior to you anywhere in the system holds the 765B or better, no soup for you.

What if there will be no one junior to me in the system, holding 765B anywhere?

LOL! Barry W? No no no... Nice guy though. Albeit a tad intense for my tastes.

I'm a 2010 guy. I must have made a typo.

BTW, FTB didn't necessarily enjoy having the APU Air die mid start yesterday. Actually it was cycling on and off but you could barely tell since it was less than enthusiastic packs anyways and we hadn't been on them for very long. But it cycled off after the fuel was introduced with the N2 around 30%.

EGT said WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Had the ground crew disconnect the huffer just after they heard the KABUMF of the JT8D's imitation of a Rocketdyne F1. Went right into the aborted start procedure but ... eh ... ah ... Captain, there's no air for dry motoring ... .

Thought something was going to get very toasty back there, but it took it and remained in limitations even :)

My sentiments exactly when I left the 88 for the 757/767.

Looks like most NYC 7ER FOs stayed put. :)

So this is interesting... 717A filled up, but there are 24 unfilled positions on the 717B.

I wonder what those might be funded with. ;)

717 CAs.......or maybe FAs? FAs only need 2 more weeks of training, right? I hear we have a flow with Compass. We could bring them up. Nah. Let's just balance the crews by displacing CAs.

Can someone clue me in as to how the pay protection works if you were bounced out of a category on a mandatory displacement (765 B to 7ER B). Thanks!

I am fairly sure that you are not pay protected anymore. i believe that was only for 2 years after the merger.
