Dear Bucking Bar,

Please understand that you are to accept that PBS operated properly and within the boundaries of the contract and you don't ask any follow ups.

Thank you,

In which case I only ask that reasonable accommodation be made for my new faith ... Three thousand years of beautiful tradition, from Moses to Sandy Koufax... can't roll on the Sabbath.

Thanks for the Debbie Downer.

I just took a look and I moved down 12 numbers, WHAT?? Going from a line holder to a now junior reserve commuter...

BTW I live in a base, held it and over the last year or so and cannot hold it now. Some of that is due to guys living in the base I am now commuting to. They now commute to the base I live in. How screwed up is that? For those that say commuting is a choice, get a clue and go do something to yourself, it is not!

I am getting sick of this crap, might be time for a new job.....What's that number to Truck Masters again?

Pineapple Guy?? What say you? ;)

For fun I'm going to try and throw on the mustache here...

I understand that there is a lot of angst around here regarding the recent AE, especially from those new hires who held the 7ER out of seniority or pilots who didn't like the SLI.. I just want to review a couple of things about this AE and recent events around here to keep things in perspective.
  • First off, we are adding 100 737-900ERs, 88 717-200s, and possibly 40 or more Airbus A321s and 10 A330s to mainline in the next couple of years. It will be an aggressive addition to our fleet. We are growing by leaps and bounds, please check with SWA to see how they're growing right now. We have 228 airplanes on firm order before you count the addition of 65 MD-90s.
  • Second, please take a moment in time to look at the AE and all of the new Captain awards and wide body awards. This was a positive AE just as all of the others have been. We've added hundreds and hundreds of new Captains since the TA passed, just as I predicted would happen if you voted yes on the TA.
  • Third, while we grow, we are reducing outsourcing on 50 seat regional jets. That is a major unprecedented win that makes our scope clause the envy of every major airline pilot group around. We are 5 months into a 3 year process and we are ahead of schedule on reducing the number of 50 seat regional jets that were killing Delta's bottom line every day.
  • Fourth, improvements to our quality of life because of an increase in Summer vacations, the early retirement program last year, the passage of the TA, the new 717s and the LGA slot swap have significantly increased the number of pilots we need here at Delta. That is a major win.
  • Fifth, if you have any problems with what is going on here please look at only the bad stuff at APA and SWAPA. We have the fewest number of grievances in the history of our union, a testament to how this close working relationship, we call the Moak Doctrine, has benefited us. Speaking of SWAPA, do you pilots realize that we have a close working relationship with management just as those pilots do but we are better rewarded for our efforts? After all, how many 767s does SWAPA have? 0.

Thank you,
Mustache

Dear Bucking Bar,

We understand you had a recent sick call of a major and/or minor American holiday due to "objective pathologies suggesting severe chronic erogophobia and acute holiday onset." This disease in our opinion has qualified you and your Bonanza for addition to the NSA kill list.

Thank you,
Crew Resources

Now see, that's how the ergophobia got started.

Oh and please let me remind you of something. We just won a major scope opportunity with NRT. This would not have been possible in a confrontational style tactic of the APA which has taken 15 years to get nowhere.

And I hate the DPA.

Thank you,
Mustache

I think I can pull this off. It's not as hard as I thought.

Feel free to grab Mr. Flanders if you want to try it out for size.

Wow, they are making a movie about the Delta "Advanced Entitlement" movement ...

Does this end with Doug Steenland giving Richard Anderson One Dollar?

Yes, but we have a good faith basis to beleive that your family doctor is not qualified to make that determination. Please contact your CPO to make an appointment to see the company physician to determine your fitness to fly. BTW, we also noticed that with our new programming allowed by the PWA, that two of the three times you have been sick since you were hired were contiguous with vacation and military leave. Please come in at your earliest convenience to have a good faith discussion if you are really interested in being a Delta pilot or not.

My buddy has a herninated disk in his back. He will likely miss all four of his trips this month. So far, he has called in sick for two 4 days and has heard NOTHING about it.
