Purple and Boog,
Really? Those comments are beneath you guys. How about giving a guy some credit when it's due! |

Look at the flip side - If all these pilots came back a few years ago the bottom 150 guys at DAL would still not be on property. Furloughees returning and new hires around the corner - its all good. :) Scoop Personally, I think that once these guys accept recall they should be able to participate in the AE process like everyone else - that way they know right where they're going before they even show up for class and overall seniority is honored. But you're right - the fact that this discussion even exists is a good thing! :) |

I get it - I just think there could be a better way. Lets say you're a senior FO (senior to the bypass guys) that decides "hey, I want to bid the SLC 320." But then a few AE's go by and there aren't any vacancies in that category so you never get the chance. Now the guys returning get to bid on 5 slots that were never made available to anyone else - fair?

I believe contractually if vacancies are subsequently posted someone previously displaced has reinstatement rights which trump a more senior pilots advance entitlement bid. However I could be very definitely be wrong. My contract knowledge isn't what it used to be. |

I was just perusing some other category bid awards since mine isn't out yet and noticed that there are 50 open trips, all greater than 50 hours, for DTW330B at the end of bidding. What's up with that? Is that normal? SEA has 11 and ATL has seven. I guess they'll be covering lots of trips with out of base guys?
