Apparently to cover 717 trips and charter ops with the new FARs.

System wide- 690-vacation days were given back. 89 pilots participated.
In ATL, 10 pilots participated for a total of 71

That equates to 38 percent of ATL320A pilots on reserve! Even if you're just about to start your 28th year! Yikes
They sold their vacation back? Brilliant

This is why we will never recapture anything meaningful as a pilot group. Look how easy it is for the company to get pilots to sell their negotiated vacation for short term bucks. Sad.

89 pilots sold their vacations. Absolutely disgusting. I'm ashamed of them.

There are many 4 days with less than 30 FAA Flight Duty Hours. Assuming one has a 30 hour layo, which many do, you can do 4 days back to back. OUCH!

Well, I didn't have vacation to sell back nor would I have ever considered it. But the suffering is being felt by others...

Or 30 hours off in between trips. For example, I have a four day trip to end this month, followed by another four day trip to start next month. Neither trip has a 30 hour layover, but I do have just over 30 hours off in between (I get done early on day 4, and report in the afternoon on day 5). The good news is, on the first trip I am scheduled to fly with a LCA - it's already tagged for OE.
