I think RA is positioning Delta to be THE domestic carrier. He recognizes the threat from the ME carriers in the international market and though hasn't thrown in the towel, I don't see Delta really going head to head with them and therefore no need to buy the widebody airplanes. We will fly what we have not till they are scrap metal, but we probably won't be renewing them or expanding our international fleet to well. On the other hand he might be just waiting for the 350 to put some pressure on Boeing for the 787 and 777X.

Remove the 717 from C12...Now explain to me what we got that wasn't tied to a concession.

It is behind us. I'm not dwelling. I'll pass on the steak. Now if you would negotiate with the company to re-instate ATL-BOM, I'll take you up on some butter chicken at Leopolds.

So you are saying that the Delta pilots made the decision to negotiate with Gary Kelly for the 717s. Ummmm no. Management made that decision. I will agree with you that we made a choice as to the methodology that would bring them onboard, and I agree that they would probably would have come on to the property regardless, but it was not our decision to buy those airplanes nor how to deploy/base them. That is Gorman/Dickson that make those decisions with a healthy dose of Anderson influence. All we can do is negotiate a price to operate them.

We can argue till the cows come back to Capistrano whether or not we took a concession to get them, but my point in this particular discussion is in regards to making any decision to buy/lease aircraft. We... are... not... involved.

3 years from now. After 757s get parked and guys move down... I guess there will be a double move up then. You can spin that like they spin a budget cut in DC.

Then tell that to your DALPA buddies... because they were most certainly telling our pilot group that the 717's were contingent on us passing the TA for C2012. I didn't believe them either. But don't you think it's a problem when your representatives are putting out bad information and asking pilots to make a decision based on that?

sorry about the purple but there are so many 7ER guys that you basically can't see any other colors. So I went down on transparency, when that didn't work I went with a pastel color http://www.tigerdroppings.com/images...onrotflmao.gif and so no, your eyes are not fuzzy.

For 88 FOs, you ought to be used to this, it's what your PFD looks like... fuzzy.

I see kind of two big clumps, one is relatively soon there below 500 seniority number and above 60, the next is diagonally down around 800-1200 seniority numbers and should be hitting in 6-8 years.

I don't have any dALPA "buddies". You are deflecting the point of discussion though, and I am not going down that road with you. We do not make fleet decisions as pilots. Period. You cannot refute that no matter how hard you try.
