1. FMLA - up to 90 days off, no pay. 2. Talk to your CP. My conversation: CP - "what do you what to do?" Me - "take my next 2 four-day trips off." CP - "done, enjoy, call me with updates." No pay, but no headache either. Hope it helps. |
No pay?
No out of your sick bank? No way. :( Is that the DAL FMLA policy? |

I just told CP that I needed sometime off and it was done....he actually had the scheduling supv. call me to rearrange my schedule (on resv at the time). Got my twelve days off and still got normal pay for the month

I ended up just moving my x days around the birth (planned c section). After talking with multiple people, this was the solution.

We are having a baby due on Nov 13. Does Delta do anything like buy your trip? I know they do it for a funeral but child birth? Anyone care to chime in. I will take the time off but I'd like to protect the $$$ also. -T |
Congrats on the new one Beer! I moved a vacation week to the week my wife was due, bid reserve for the month she was due, moved as many x-days as I could using PCS, then talked to the CP about moving what I couldn't do with PCS. I got 18 days off with 14 of those in a block for that month and lost no pay. When you start dropping stuff, the paycheck gets smaller.
