That was me and it was a pleasure meeting you.

I think I met md88Driver the other day in ATL. Can't remember for sure, as he was jinking and jiving as we all do when someone catches us reading APCforums in the lounge lol.

Every time I'm in ATL lounge, I walk around looking for some big tall guy staring at a laptop, hoping to meet FTB. I give the underboob hand signal, but no one will admit they know it. Some rambunctious 744 Capt was on my jumpseat the other day, but he claimed he knew of no "Carl", so I didn't ask any more questions. I'm pretty sure I'd recognize Buzz if I get to LAX, but I don't get out there at 2300 when he checks in very often. No one I bump into in PHX will admit to Ferdness.

It's actually quite hard to meet other APC browsers. We need a better code-phrase we can throw out there on the JS, something like "Brass Monkey" that's easy to remember and will be noticed by other APCers.

Ideas?

Wear your hat in the pilot lounge (or other places no one wears their hat, ie. crew van, bathroom, cockpit, etc). Other APCer suspects you're a poster and asks if you're on the forum. You respond 'penthouse' or 'facepunch'? With the i.d. acknowledged, you'll be free to exchange the same riveting info passed around here, only enhanced (possibly) by face to face.

Flying with an APC'r now and deadheaded with one. What about a hand signal?? The shocker maybe? FTB, could you help with a picture?

The shocker would be good. We used it as a sign of support for Anderson for President in 1980. It's how I met my wife when I flashed her the sign at a convenience store. Shortly after we got married, however, she asked me who John Anderson was. Strange.

Wonder if they are smart enough to give up? Cards are expiring now at a faster rate than they have ever gotten new ones signed. Now would be a good time to throw in the towel and focus on getting 12,000 of us under one unified tent for C2015. Not an ALPA cheerleader, but am smart enough to realize they are the best agent we are going to have to capitalize on the success of Delta and the problems starting to show up with our "regional affiliates".

Crazy. Had a similar experience while working on the Bo Gritz for president campaign in 1994.
