I've done several months worth of CDOs at Compass. They sucked then, and I say that as someone who flew them in his 20s, who is a night owl and has always been able to sleep on command. I found myself flying into MSP a few times with the sun coming up and me slapping myself to stay awake, praying to God that the weather and mx stayed ok. The CAs I flew them with, and the FOs I flew them with after I upgraded, were either too junior to hold anything else, or had kids or businesses on the side that took up their time during the day. One of them would later die in a road accident the day after a string of CDOs; it's believed he fell asleep at the wheel

I flew them at Pinnacle. Many times arriving at the crashpad having no memory of the approach or landing. These things are UNSAFE. Would we even be having this discussion if they were restricted to the TOP 10% of the list, instead of the bottom 10% of the NB Categories?

One another Gem Pinnacle Management attempted to force down our throats.....tagging and out/back after the return leg to base.

Think about THAT. If you don't think DAL would do it you are living in a fantasy land. As long as it's under the 14 hour limit standby for a reroute.

I won't friggen do it. PERIOD. Even if it meant no longer working at DAL. There are other things out there that pay more and won't kill you.

Sorry Bar, ..but what are you talking about? ..and who is Ken Watts?

Please post any evidence whatsoever of Ken Watts doing or saying what you've alleged.

There should be MEC members names who moved and seconded it from the MEC Working Committee that considered it. It is an MEC resolution and they should own it.

Knock it off with the politics and focus on our careers. Just my opinion.

Respectfully,

I tried to edit my post before you caught it. But since you asked.

You lost me completely. Why the slam on KW. There is not a finer man on our seniority list.

With all due respect. I appreciate your comment but find it absolutely absurd. I believe we should get at least 6 hrs EVERY single calendar day we are on the company clock. EVERY SINGLE ONE! We are on duty. Not flight duty as you might consider but away from home on company business. It's not my job to figure a way to schedule us efficiently. If it got too expensive I am confident Delta would find a way to get me out of that 30 hour layover ie. DH me out, adjust flight schedules. I don't care what it costs Delta. Again, not my job or responsibility. Pay me for MY time.

True...but, don't forget that as I have said before, there isn't a "min pay per day" fairy out there sprinkling 6 hours a day of pay on top of our current trips, with nothing changing. If we did indeed get such a thing, you could probably kiss commutable trips goodbye in all the domestic categories. Most likely all trips would sign in early and terminate late on the last day--kind of like how a lot of the NYC trips look now.

I think this penchant of yours to shoot first and aim later when it comes to your fellow former NWA brothers hurts you Bar. Where in this post from Ken Watts does he go on the warpath against former Delta pilots as you stated below? Everything he said is absolutely factual.

When will you stop going on the warpath against your former NWA brothers Bar? Ever?

So going from 4:30 to 5:15 and getting rid of a carve out is bad why?

It puts us that much closer to asking for the 6:00 in 11 months!

Is it easier to go from 4:30 up to 6:00 OR to go from 5:15 to 6:00?

Your definition of "warpath" is wanting. I interpreted KW's post as we all own the resolution after the MEC passes it.
