What did my post have to do with Caplinger? Moak did the opposite of what he should have done 2 weeks ago. That's an impeachable offense IMO. My reps said he'll be gone before anything gels. I don't know Caplinger and don't even think of the DPA. Take your meds man. |

Sounds like more delays. The incompetence shown thus far is pretty embarrassing. Remember... "Free Beer Tomorrow" [emoji1] |

Well he stated that opinion, and then laid out fairly cogent reasoning why he thought it was so...are you going to refute that reasoning, or just club him over the head?
Say, gomer, how about a credibility check. Now that you're here, would you please weigh in on Moak's comments from a few days ago? Did they help us or hurt us? |

With additional block hours on the 777 and 10 more airframes on the 330 side the cascade stops with one training event. Same thing with the copilots who will be absorbed in the 330 or increasing CA seats. Cascades happen when you have a static or shrinking airline not a growing airline.

So you're saying that they are offering it to select pilots on select 4 engine airplanes? Hell no. Sorry. That's wrong. Displace 'em, and train 'em. So are you saying contractually they can't or they shouldn't? They can't unless it is negotiated with the union. |

Exactly what I was trying to say. If they wanna stay and train, have at it. If they wanna retire, fair winds and following seas. Any displacements other than the whale guys will be minimal and short lived. I still don't understand why we are even talking about this.
There is another component not mentioned to a ER program that might make the company willing to open their purse strings a bit more. This is a personal opinion only but the company is very concerned about the actual timing of retirements. After almost no early outs for a year we suddenly had a spike in guys leaving early the first 6 months of the year. Retirements the next few years are still light compared to 2018. It may be worth it to the company to time shift a portion of those retirements into the next two years. They smooth the retirement flow and can release those pilots on their time line not the whims of the pilots. We will know in a two weeks what they have offered. |

Reserve question. I have a trip that spills over into the next moth. Are we able to ask scheduling to apply all of the trip credit towards this month? I thought I read it somewhere that we could.
