Yeah, there is a little more to the story....I did have a WS in that would/should have been triggered by this trip. However, scheds called me and awarded it as a GS which I promptly acknowledged. Yes, I was scratching my head at the time wondering why they gave me a GS for a trip that matched a WS I had in.
Scheduler made a mistake (2 other guys at the same time had the same deal happen....GS's later changed to WS...don't know if they acknowledged or not), however once I acknowledged the trip as awarded (GS) I thought it (or the $$) were mine. I have no obligation to acknowledge a WS award for next day...they have the right to remove the WS from my line after 10 minutes and move on. IF I had kept my phone nearby after accepting the GS I would have seen the voicemail and would have called to ask what happened to the acknowledged GS. They would have explained that it was a mistake and that PWA 23.Q.13 gives them the right to take it back. I would have then accepted it as a WS. So, in a way it's interesting...They had the right to change their mistake, and I had no obligation to be reachable after acknowledging the GS. I missed their "correction" phone call and spent the next hour thinking I had a GS for today....which caused me to miss out on even the WS. My takeaway: I now know any awarded and acknowledged GS can be taken away without pay up until 2 hours prior to report so I'll make sure I don't miss their phone calls from the time I acknowledge it until 2 hours prior. I agree with Imapilot.....once we acknowledge an awarded trip the pay for that trip should be ours even if they remove it. In my case, I should have known that this was an error that would be corrected since I knew I had a WS in for that type of trip. However, if someone else had the WS in and they awarded me a GS, I would not have any idea that a mistake was made. If they didn't catch the mistake for say, 24 hours or so, a guy could be well underway with his commute, childcare, etc and they could still take it away without pay. I'd like to see that tuned up some in the next contract. |
I recently had a call from skeds, sounded like a "bring your daughter to work day", and she said GS........
It was only a WS....Grrrrrrrr! |
I got on earlier today and saw the PS line on my paycheck. I checked my bank, and saw two pending deposits, one for my paycheck, and one for what I assume was PS...however the PS number was about 40% of the amount on the paycheck line. Is there any place you can see the breakdown of what was deducted? I should have 15% to 401K, but I find it hard to believe the other 45% went to taxes.

DeltaNet not working?
I think it might be overloaded with everyone trying to see their profit sharing. |

Probably tomorrow. Can't see anything right now. DeltaNet is useless. I think the server is swamped. |

DPMA ALPA dues etc......... and any deposits to other inst's......they take those out like a regular check! Highest marginal state tax rate (GA = 6%) FICA = 7.65% ALPA = 1.9% DPMA For me = PS Gross - 401k - 40.55% - DPMA dues |

Chase does not show any deposits until the day of the deposit |
OK...I guess it makes sense then. This is my first PS check, so I was just trying to figure out how it works. Thanks, guys!

USAA...just says "pending," but shows up in your checking account balance like it's there.
