Why would anyone need another name? That would be really lame.

Yeah, only losers that wear long sleeve shirts do that.

Just learned a nasty lesson about the PWA and greenslips.

Got a call from scheds (voicemail) saying they put a greenslip on my line for tomorrow....10 minutes to respond or they will move on. I went to the computer and acknowledged the award via iCrew and verified that it showed on my line and my time card. Then proceeded to go take a shower/pack etc. Looked at my phone an hour later and saw 3 more voicemails from crew scheduling. Started listening to them and they called to say they had made a mistake and that it shouldn't have been a GS so they had changed it to a whiteslip on my line and I had 10 more minutes to acknowledge the WS. By the time I got the messages they had moved on to the next guy.

So, initially I think to myself, Hey....they owe me something for the fact that I acknowledged an award and then they removed it from my line. Called a friend who knows the PWA pretty well and he directed me to 23.Q.13. which says that Delta can correct errors in GS awards up to 2 hours prior to report without owing the awarded pilot anything. So no GS for me AND I missed the opportunity for a WS of the same trip because I didn't see the need to stay close to my phone since I had already acknowledged a trip for the next day. Nice.

At least I hadn't commuted in for the GS. I hate how the whole "live and learn" thing always seems to cost me $$$

Did you in fact have a white slip in that met the criteria for the trip? If not I would call DALPA and ask them to look into this. Sounds like perhaps another pilot called in after they gave you the trip and wanted it on a WS. That's not allowed and the trip remains yours. The contract guys at DALPA can view the exact history and tell you what happened. There is no way the computer showed you for a GS if you had a WS in.

What Sailing said. I only had this happen to me once. Got a call for a GS, was boarding my commuter flt when I got a call from a friend who said "hey what happened to your GS?" I didn't get a call from scheduling when they pulled it.

I called scheduling, complained a little, suit up pay and all, found out what happened, read the contract 30 times, went home upset, then got a GS the next day...I still felt a little burned.

I know I said I was leaving, but...
Just wanted to let you know that the profit sharing amounts can be "back doored" in away. Tomorrow's regular paychecks are on Deltanet and there is an amount under the YTD column already for the profit sharing.

Imapilot2 02-12-2015 04:48 AM

you can see how much your ps is. only our first three checks of the year are up but i noticed that the totals in the check details don't ad up with just the three checks that are available to view. the diff is the ps.

he beat me to it

plus the gross is under profitsharing

If you have an Iphone screenshot everything when you acknowledge it so you have documentation.

Of the other 30% I'll bet 90% of them know their way around the cap. That leaves 5% that are too dumb to figure it out that MAY on occasion fly more than what the cap now allows.

The formula is simple. Bid 3-day trips if able, WS to the pickup limit on the first PCS run (preferably a couple 2-days or a 3-day), head over to the swap board and pickup whatever is there. After that, spend the rest of the month swapping your 2 and 3-day trips for trips that are longer and you will easily get to what the FAR's allow. Not that hard even if you are junior.

Rock, it isn't too hard to figure out even for an OFG. Cap should be the same for everyone. Period. OFG
