Thanks Lenie and Lurking. I too have been using Care.com, and unfortunately had NO idea they had a discount! It is a good service. The background checks are kinda pricey, maybe that discount will help with that. We've been hiring the college kids as [I]most[I] of them are reliable/responsible.

I hear what you are saying about the professional interview. We tried to do the same thing, as well as a "Nanny contract." We've had our share of babysitter issues. We had half a dozen of them to deal with my reserve schedule, some were great, some turned out to be pretty flaky.

My hats off to HR, holy cow I couldn't do their job!

Thanks, Kargo

No one has made a move on those 190s either like the fear mongers said would happen...

Thanks 80!

There was a total of 13 744 captains displaced. 17 AE's. So only 30 744 capts moved. 40 was probably to much training so they cut back. Also 5 retire by December. So, 35. Next AE. More to come.

There will be still a crud load of capts of the 744. After this AE, 149 ish

Hey Gang, a question that's a bit off topic. OK, way off topic.

I'm trying to hire a Nanny (I told you WAY off topic) and am trying to find a good background check service. Considering we're all gone half the month and many of us have silly spouses who think they want to work/school too, I thought maybe someone might have a good resource.

Anyone?

Thanks, please return to your normal discourse...

Be sure you get one that doesn't speak English, so she can't tell your wife...anything.:D

The real Avalanche hasn't yet begun for the 747, still 300 to fall
