Come on up to NYC, plenty of 1 and 2 day trips for the commuters

Not on the 320! Only 737 has a decent number of turns.

It's funny how the company says they are working to create better rotations, but nothing changes.

Only 62 more days until the union will send them a strongly worded letter about it...

Just saw a 5 day trip, two long legs a day with perfectly optimized 4 hr+ sits for 13hrs+ duty each day. Pays 32 hrs though so you got that going for ya if you don't fatigue out

Do you get a hotel for long sits?

Yes, above a certain amount of time. But I don’t recall the time and can’t find it in the PWA.

NYC 320 in Dec. 6% 1 day and 22% 1 day. 28% combined

Seems like it’s 5 hours

All of the above highlights the importance of not jumping to a new category until adequate seniority is there. What "adequate" is, is one's own personal definition, but it seems that whatever anyone considered good enough a year or two ago, is now 20-30% short of what would make them happy with their QOL today.

I suspect the days of people commuting out of one base to be a bottom third narrowbody captain in another (MSP resident to 80% NYC 320A etc.) are also likely winding down as it's got to be barely feasible at this point and absolutely rock bottom for having a life outside of work. Not to mention, with premium flying going out the way it is, probably not even a pay raise when commuting time and crashpad expenses are factored in.
