[QUOTE=acl65pilot;632161]No.

The post 01 hires only remove the six seat in the aircraft that were part of the 76 seat scope settlement. Furlough an 01 hire and this is where you see the 6 seats being removed from the aircraft that the limit going down to 55 jets.
In effect 900 people are not covered under the tighter restrictions. At SOC that number is reduced to the most junior of pilots. I believe that number is 476 pilots that do not have a 2001 hire slotted below them.
So after SOC it they could furlough 476 pilot and only have to block first then take out 153 seats.

Its my understanding that if they furlough to the point of removing those 6 seats, the provision allowing 76 seaters is removed from the contract and would have to be re-negotiated in order to reallow 76 seaters. This was from my rep and if true is obviously an enourmous obstacle to furloughing that many!

I would still want to see how the company can use our recently signed LOA to start the furlough process, i.e. what kind of screwed up reason they would need to furlough. Seems like a lot of guys (perhaps from the union drools) think that they could furlough only under events like SARS, WWIII. I know it doesn't worth the TP it's printed on, with RA and LM and Prater's signature at the bottom.

Gosh, i need a drink!

When we go to the new pass travel policy on June 23rd, will we be able to book jumpseats cross fleet? Thanks in advance for the answer!

What's funny is that we have two non furlough agreements and NO ONE believes they are enforceabe.

Our ALPA negotiators should learn rule number one in negotiations:

Only negotiate for things that have value.

If I'm not mistaken, what we have is an agreement that the company will not furlough, unless the economy is bad. When the only time the company would want to furlough is when the economy is bad.

Priceless and worthless at the same time. :eek:

There are 250 Delta South FMII pilots that might disagree with you. The grievance was settled in their favor, and many received back pay. All were restored to flying in spite of management's desire to send them packing.
