Man I wish we were just like them.
Alfa;

You left out the part about how if ALPA screws that up again they are off the property.

I'm not forgetting that at all! Yes, those guys don't have widebody JOBS and as such nothing for them to ratio in. However, they will have applicable narrowbody JOBS and will be ratio accordingly, putting some young guys (if NKS or ALK) around the middle of our current list.

I'm not complaining about our list at all. As Bar points out, the arbitrator correctly called what happened and the ratio done accordingly. I think it's naive to think it won't go that way again. I have no dog in this fight as I'll be long gone........just looking into my crystal ball.

Larger, roomy planes? More frequency? You've clearly never flown on a Spirit plane or seen their schedules.

Spirit A320: 178 pax, 17" seat width, 28" pitch
DAL A320: 148 pax, 17" seat width, 31-32" pitch

That 3-4 inch pitch increase makes a difference if you are taller than 5'5".

I didn't like it then, I'm not thrilled about it now, and it got me permanently displaced from my left seat. It is also water under the bridge. It is pointless to expend energy over something you have zero control over.

Did you get displaced out of the left side simply due to the SLI or by how the company moved airplanes around? How did your side gain a little by relative and still lose simply by the SLI?

Has anyone been following the results of the DPA pay raise survey with instant results? Almost 800 people have already taken it and it's only been open a day.

I have to agree with you on this one. Not to my advantage, as I am sitting pretty senior (right now, anyway) on reserve in my category. But if seniority is what it is supposed to be (a respecter of SSN) then this should be viewed as a 'win' for the pilots. The old adage, 'don't bid it if you don't want it' ought to be observed before we drool over vacancies. Standing by for incoming....
