Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Reserve question: If you are coming off of days off and they don't SC you on your 1st day of reserve what is the earliest they can call you and make you report. I"m guessing they can call you at midnight for a noon report or would it be for a noon departure?

6 am if it is on your schedule before 3 pm in your base time, 12 noon report or 10 am short call is the earliest you could get if it is not on your schedule by 3.

I remember that guy :eek:, If it's who I think it is, he is working in India now. I had to do CQ with him once...... it was not good at all. Didn't he have a website set up about TWA 800 also?

Don't know about the website, but it sounds like him. He was a former eastern guy. Dont know where he is now. He was the first genuine conspiracy nut I ever met. Never met a conspiracy theory he didn't fall for.

He was the first person I ever heard talk about echelon and some of the other NSA communications monitoring stuff, parts of which turned out to be true, so I guess he wasn't completely nuts. But, then again, morsels of truth are all a conspiracy nut needs to get going.

Seriously, should I stick my head in the sand and ignore reality? SW rates would require, what, a 30-40% raise? Do you really think that is going to happen right now. AA in BK, SW saying their costs are too high, UAL, US and other airlines well below our current rates, and you think we will get a TA with a 30-40% raise?
