Specifically no. I was told it will be published but the reasons for the fpl may not be identified in every instance.

FWIW, the DPA guys are showing a stronger and stronger presence in ATL. 90% of the guys I fly with have their cards in as well as more and more people that I know personally that I run into ops.

Some want to boot ALPA now, most are like me and want to see how the opener is. Not showing the opener to the masses will easily be worth another 500+ cards I would estimate.

I've got a couple friends that are rather high up at ALPA National, if you catch my drift. He is pulling the same crap there that he did at DALPA and it is driving them crazy. One of them went so far as to say he understands how the DPA movement got started at Delta now, and why I put my car in.

We all want a great contract, 80. If ALPA can deliver, good on 'em. I'm MSP based, similar sentiment as you've observed, but more like 70% or so anecdotal evidence.

This is just my instinct talking but I have a feeling the most damning info will be removed. Certainly anything that would help a motivated individual track down the waist (including keyboard jockies part of a multi-pronged "social networking education strategy").

OK someone make a comment about black helicopters over my house:rolleyes:

It should be published in April. We both will see.

Let's go for that model... Do you NOT want that? (to be at the top of the scale and what seems like support FROM management, along with no RJs and very few code shares)

What were you looking at for the first 20+ years of SWA's existence???? They never led at anything until the others' went backwards.

Bill,

I respect your opinion, and to be fair, can only say, "we will see". It is my opinion, that their are more "chest thumping keyboard rangers" than there are people willing to take action if D-ALPA produces something inadequate.

Reminds me of the show where the beaten wife won't leave her husband, even when there's plenty of help outside the house. But she can't bring herself to leave him. Some people get used to the abuse, I suppose. Me? uh uh...I'm out.

To put it in simpler terms if DALPA had gone independent before the merger and was working like SWAPA or APA we'd be looking at stapling the NWA guys like AA did to TWA right? Screw the other guy! Its about me, especially if my management is looking out for me. That's a great message. I assume you'll be at the management BBQ with Richard and Ed for the next merger of 'equals' then? The DPA doesn't want a union period. They want to get rid of agency shop and stop paying dues. It's that simple.

Easy there, put down the pipe. I was saying it would be great if we had a union that could get us top pay and bennies plus be friendly with management that would "have our backs" on anything that would come our way. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Top pay and friendly management. We probably wouldn't even need a union if that were always true. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening, but SWAPA has had that the last decade, primarily because they don't also have to worry about RJs, and they mean what they say and don't fold like a deck of cards when it comes to things management wants. Why again did LM get rid of SILs that were worth 55 hours per month for NOT flying to the current ZERO hours of pay for an SIL? Makes NO sense. Thanks LM, enjoy your life long pension.....

I'm looking at something more recent, like the last decade. 20 years ago they also had very cute FAs, but those around back then are still around today, and aren't as cute. Do you always look back 20 years at every analysis? The last 10 years have been good for SWAPA.

Yo, Shiz!

Hope you are not in ATL tonight and hope everyone else in the SE has survived intact.

I'll get to the point.

Southwest gets paid more than us. Lots more!

Their medical kicks @ss. Their scope is pretty good to I hear.

We are no longer in the enviable position we were with C2K. Lots of guys out on the line don't want to believe this and try and rationalize these facts away. One of the first steps in fixing this is recognizing the issue and embracing. When we all can get behind this truth, we can focus our energy and win.

We can't if guys keep falling for this:

Belief Disconfirmation Paradigm
  • Belief disconfirmation paradigm occurs when a person is presented with information which conflicts with his beliefs. If unable to change his beliefs the conflict experienced could result in a rejection of the conflicting information or the denial of the information. A person unable to resolve the conflict will seek others sharing a similar belief to restore agreement of thoughts. An example of belief disconfirmation paradigm is cult members who experience the failure of a prophecy to occur. The cult members will typically seek an explanation among the group and reach a conclusion that provides an answer that creates harmony.
