Both very good. Easy to carry and they are a precise summation of our manuals. Author will email you updates to make corrections in your study guides as Delta makes revisions. He sells a kindle version, but does not look like a very good porting of his work. Every so often he will re issue both guides. I always buy them and carry them with me. In the sim you are not allowed to use them, must use our manuals. Highly recommended.

If anyone has crew resources email, could you pm me. Been trying to call them all day with no luck.
Pretty simple. Don't feel bad about it, I had to ask someone, too. |
A bunch of us are non revving to NRT tomorrow and the flight out of DTW shows 30/-30 in business. Any idea why the -30 for authorized? Thanks.

This was one of the big items I wrote in on my survey. It's BS that we have a one way check valve on our scope. In the absence of recapturing OUR scope, the amount of "permitted aircraft" should at least rise AND fall with the mainline count. To set a new high water mark that does not subsequently recede is no good.
The problem with "balancing" provisions, as you suggest, is that when the Company gets into financial trouble, no one wants to hurt the Company more and put it out of business. We had ratios and limits on DCI in Contract 2000. When the Company got into trouble those were the first concessions made to save the Company and more than a thousand guys hit the street. Today we are hearing talk of similar provisions, with talk that the Company isn't going back into bankruptcy ... we're doing great! (yeah, whatever) Job Protection Provisions have to be built for the worst case scenario. Scope is a safety device and like other safety devices will be tested under enormous stress. We should not repeat a design that has failed previously on the line. The only true furlough protection is pilots below you and a management which has a common interest in seeing the Company you fly for succeed. The only correct scope section is "Delta pilots perform Delta flying." |

Question for ER guys...What vaccines did you get? DLNet mentions Hepatitis AB, Tetanus, Polio booster, and a few others. Thoughts?

Not sure what -30 means but you either get a business seat or you don't go!

I haven't moved up there yet but I am looking and my wife and I really like Novi. It is not as trendy as Ann Arbor, but it has some unique places to eat and drink. Novi is close to other nice areas like Northville and even Plymouth. I'm going to check out Royal Oak soon. If you don't mind gays I've heard it is a really cool area to be.

If you find something and are looking for some crash padders let me know. Post something in the DTW Crew room. I've been displaced to DTW on the ol' 9 and am looking for a crash pad away from the airport. I can't stand the idea of 6 short calls from a dumpy hotel or pad near the airport.
