Your black helicopter of the day - maybe since we're requesting a "significant" increase in compensation, they're throttling our bandwidth.

I just reread the "opener." I think I can sum it up like so:

-We want more of the good stuff
-We want less of the bad stuff
-We're not interested in recapturing scope.

My gosh, what a colossal pile of fluff...with zero meat. (sts)

So, thoughts?

In a*speech*to the Wings Club in New York last month,*Bombardier*President/CEO Pierre Beaudoin defended the Canadian aircraft manufacturer’s new*CSeries*against “naysayers,” including the ones who have raised questions about the supposed “slow” order uptake for the 100-145-seat aircraft.

It was a spirited defense of the aircraft program, with just one problem: At least two of the program’s orderbook skeptics happen to be CSeries customers, including the biggest one of all,*Republic Airways, which worries the CSeries could be on the same path*Boeing*was with its 717.

For Bombardier, that’s not a welcome comparison.

Republic Airways CEO Bryan Bedford recently expressed concerns about the number of CSeries orders that Bombardier has received, and he repeated those concerns when stock analysts asked Bedford about it during the fourth-quarter earnings call on March 1.

At the time of the CSeries order, Republic seemed to clearly intend them for Denver-based Frontier. It asked for the CS300 aircraft in a single cabin configuration with 138 seats, including 25 “Stretch”-branded seats with extra leg room to match what Frontier offered. Republic subsequently insisted the CS300 could coexist with the NEO order, providing “significant operating capability from Denver’s hot-and-high geography to our international destinations.”

But with Republic hoping to sell or spin off its Frontier subsidiary this year, Bedford now is coy about his airline’s CSeries plans. He suggests the usage options would not be limited to Frontier, referring to some “interesting ideas” on how to make use of the aircraft but declining to provide any specifics.
Maybe he feels emboldened by us not going after an STS on RAH?

Bacon,

Your posts are long on anger and posturing, but short on substance. You seem to show up every couple of days to lob a grenade or two at nobody in particular just to attempt to interject a little bad will and vitriol into the debate. It's entertaining, for sure, but who exactly are you fighting against? If you really are a Delta pilot, surely you must realize what you're doing is helping nobody but management. So, what's the story? Are you on the 4th floor in the "contract management" cubicle or are you just another line puke who doesn't know when to shut the hell up? Just curious.

That pic brings back some memories...

LWS Idaho...crew hotel had a brew pub attached..said pub sold their pints of micro brew for $1...not much more to say about that

And yes, the HUD rocks! :D

Hand flown Cat III. No auto land or auto throttles. 600 RVR, 50' DH - 300 RVR takeoffs.
Good times

Maybe Delta... Connection? I've been thinking the same thing due to the fact the posts are so vague and lacking of a background story that they could easily be done by an outsider.

Or he feels emboldened because has the Lord on his side. WWJD? Outsource the whole thing, that's what he would do. Duh.

But srsly, all this cryptic talk dancing around the fringe of RJ's and manufacturers and "creative ideas" coupled with management's ferocious history of outsourcing everything except their own compensation and our union's enabling it in the first place at every turn its something to keep an eye on.

RAH doesn't have enough long term 50 seaters to justify some earth shattering paradigm shift to the degree of the C Series. Even if they did, all they can do is bid so low, like Mesa or Pinnacle, just so we get in bed with them and they end up dragging us down like a panicking fat guy that can't swim. If they do take a premium for changing 50 seaters to 130 seaters (whoever's at the controls) all that amounts to is paying them extra to get out of the leases, which we could do on our own anyway. The real winner is management putting ALPA's best and brightest scope lawyers to work writing language so mission critical that if there is a hole in it anywhere, all narrowbody flying is gone for good.

Screw that. Let RAH wither on the vine and go the fate of IndyAir. There will be a long list of carriers that do exactly that. They have nothing we need. Period.
