I'm curious too; not that I'm within a decade of being competitive but I'm curious...I know a guy that made $22K a month flying for TAAG but I'm wondering if KAL would be near the same without having to be based in a place such as Angola. LAX is slightly more appealing. :)

Sure will!

Fuzzy numbers? Let me break this down for you. Following are the Delta pay rates. For example, look at the fourth year Delta FO 757/767 pay. It is $111 per hour. To be precise $111 x min gurantee of 70= $7770. After taxes and deductions, a reserve pilot on the 7ER category will take home around $5500.

And yes... I fly a widebody for Delta. Just flew PEK-SEA. 11 hrs of flight time on a 7ER. Last I checked, 7ER is a widebody. Maynot be super premium widebody. But it is a widebody.

It still looks fuzzy to you? You want me to mail you my W2 as well?

This is right on the mark.

14 year ER FO at a junior base. Can't hold anything international. Can barely hold lines that are only commutable on the back end.

70 hour lines are about it. Nothing in open time, but it doesn't matter because the trips are so inefficient that the last thing you want to do is go back to work. 21-22 hour 4 days are the rule.

Monthly take home is right around $5500.

14 years doesn't buy you a captain seat anywhere, nor a line on a 747,777 or 330.

And no.. I'm not suggesting anything gay. I'll bring the wife too... and before you ask... no.

Or...how about a 62 foot Gunboat Catamaran, that way we each get our own hull, bedroom/ bathroom, and we can meet for lunch in the main salon/galley!

Oh, and it's fast, how's cruising at 30 knots sound?

Watch This all the way through: http://www.gunboat.com/video.php

Here's a bunch of them, racing around St. Maarten. http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/video...gatta.bk.c.cnn

It takes 12 years longevity to even hold a line on the 320 in ATL!

This is rediculous when you think about it from a big picture view.

It's ridiculous any way it's looked at. Embarrassing too.

75/76 is a narrow / wide body category. You end up flying the narrow more than you do the wide so when he said he was a wide body FO I didn't think he was claiming to be a 7ERB. I have averaged over $7300 per month so far this year as a 7ERB and I am not even on 3rd year pay yet. When I hit 3rd year pay my guarantee alone will be almost $7700 and no, I don't go around claiming to be a "widebody FO" as a 7ERB since I mostly fly the 757. A true widebody pilot is on the 777/747/330/76ER.

You're an ER FO and you don't claim to be a widebody FO? Something doesn't add up here bud.

Well on that subject... (you may need to use CTRL+ to zoom in, for you apple guys... well for $2,500 that computer ought to read your mind):

Depends on the context. If someone asks me what I fly I tell them I fly the 75 & 76. I don't stick out my chest and simply say "I'm a delta widebody FO" If the person asking requested further clarification at what a 757 and 767 is than of course I would explain that the 767 is a widebody. When the original guy said he was a wide body FO I was more inclined to believe he was a 777/330/747/76 FO, not a 7ER guy. Ya'll are a bit too paranoid today. Lighten up folks.
