Someone told me they heard former poolies would be getting class dates (no interviews?) early on, like right after returnees and flows. Has anyone heard anything about this?

I'm a 2008 NW poolie who was supposed to be in the class that was the first cancelled. Haven't been real keen on having to jump through all the hoops again (TMATW q's, etc) but being offered a class with a cursory meet and greet, PRIA and background check changes that a bit.

Thanks,
Bus
Might not want to tell the interviewers that your not real keen on having to reinterview, but would take the job if all you had to do us show up to class. The interview, as I understand it, is also different than at former NW. Good luck in any case.

Default keep dreaming

Not a chance, i was also a 2008 NWA june 9 class guy and our offer was good for 1 year. No special treatment now. We are just like every other pilot applying now. If you dont believe that then why wouldn't they have even called us the last time the window was open?? I'd brush the dust off your phone and be ready to interview if you get lucky enough to get called

I knew my post would get some blowback, guessing I should have said it in another way. Thing is, not my first rodeo, had a job at another legacy until 9-11 took care of that. Then they wanted me to come back knowing I'd get furloughed again (you can guess which one). Had to give up that number so maybe I'm a little jaded. I'm too old to keep going to interviews to start all over again, and I have a decent job now.

Cheers,
Bus

Then why are you looking to start all over again at Delta? I mean preparing for an interview is probably the easy part compared to going through training, commuting to reserve, being displaced a couple of times, etc?

I was looking at getting back on with a legacy in 2007/08 and NW was my only choice simply because I live in a (then) junior NW base, which is now a junior Delta base. Up until a year ago I really wanted to get to Delta still, but the picture has changed a bit. Combination of where I'm at now, age, rest of career earnings, and QOL. Someone I know told me he heard Delta was going to hire the former poolies right back in, and I just wanted to see if anyone knew anything about that. It may have made me look a bit harder at it, that's all.
Sorry if my position comes off as a sense of entitlement, it wasn't meant that way. There are a lot of guys whose careers have been destroyed in the last 12 years and to have to go through the hiring process over and over again is simply demoralizing.

Hmmm. How would that go over on the panel interview?

HR might like it...

The retired pilots on the panel interviewing might have a different opinion...

Your question is valid. No Harm. I wish that HR would take these poolies. Maybe a meet and greet, lunch and a tour. You deserve to be in class, my opinion. Im sorry.

I seriously doubt they would rehire him. His bridges are all burnt.

Default Emails being sent out....

Someone posted that emails for hiring were suppose to go out in 10 days. That would be this Saturday, but because it is a weekend does anyone know if they will still go out then or possibly Friday or Monday?
I wonder if they will mass email all the applicants they want for the 300 at one time or just slowly send them out month by month.
I know the chances of getting an email from the start are like trying to win the Powerball lottery but it's hard not to get excited.
Cheers
