Just curious because I haven't looked in a while and am now trying to help someone getting out of the military plan their career... With all the hiring in the last couple years, would someone interviewing early 2016 be in an incredible position or have missed the ball a bit? Just looking at retirement numbers alone, where would someone end up if they started with 20 years of time left? How about 30 or 40 years? Thanks!
I still think a fair amount of the new hires coming on board will retire in the 2025-2035 timeframe, so even someone getting on by 2025 will see good movement for 10 years after that. After 2035, well you are just going to have to wait until the mid-late 40's to see a chunk of this waive retire.

~85% is holding NY CA right now. With no growth or shrinking, a pilot hired today will hit 50% within 7-10 years. A pilot hired in the 2018-2020 timeframe should hit the 50% mark in less years.
If you're from the NY area, Delta would be a great place to go right now.

The email to the hiring people triggers your App to be pulled for scoring. If it scores well enough you'll get an interview invite, if not you won't. The email pulls your app from the abyss of 12,000+ (?) apps to be scored.
The email address on the AirlineApps rec is probably irrelevant.
You REALLY want your Delta pilot friend to send and email for you...

I think each person can send an email for you once a year. Anyone with a delta employee number can recommend someone.
