As has been said countless time, Delta takes a wholistic view of an application. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Delta has never required a Masters. Maybe it was necessary 10-30 years ago to get the points to get an interview. So the argument can’t be made they lowered their standards if it was never a requirement to begin with.

If your reply was serious, it makes no sense, because a Masters was never a requirement, so there's no standard to lower in not requiring one. Furthermore, there hasn't been a seismic shift in the competitive mins WRT a Masters either way. It's always been a net positive, not a deal sealer in any case, never a requirement to begin with, and most pilots get hired without it like always.

Now, however, if attempting some trolling, while I do appreciate the effort, I award you no points; I'm not offended as a DL pilot, but I am offended as a comedian. If you're gonna step up to the plate and whiff, you might as well try another guard police/van admiral meanie pants/submarine officer reference and at least foul tip it back into the net. Or pop it up for a can of corn with another landing on a taxiway dig. Or even bunt it and hope you get lucky running it out with a Captain Happy reference. That at least sometimes works. Just don't hit one into the gap talking about our old DC-9-10's or into the stands with an apropos JV reference. Alaska was a fast baserunner but fortunately coach Brad told them to take way to big a lead and we picked them off.

Wait, I just found out we don't require a PhD in microbiology either. So much for standards.

That was actually a more substantive reply than I was expecting.

The comedian reference was a Seinfeld tribute which you obviously missed. I don't blame you though; I'm sure its the fault of one of our meanie double breasted van admirals.

^^^^^see how easy it is to incorporate an at least slightly relevant dig? Just try harder next time is all I'm saying.

You left out my personal favorite: Delta Pilots don’t make eye contact in the airport. I try to nod, wave, acknowledge every Pilot I see in the airport. About 50% don’t respond so not making eye contact is not a Delta “thing” I think it is more of a Pilot or perhaps societal “thing.”

Except when ARCOS or CS calls, no phones allowed at my family's dinner table. Sad state of affairs when you go to a restaurant and nobody is talking to each other.

I thought I heard something about putting the walk/no walk signals in the pavement. Sounds good to me.

My guess: if you went to a service academy or well known accredited aviation school, finished in 5 years or less, AND have a good GPA a masters degree will not give you ANY additional points.
